What is PERFECTION? What does it look like and how long does it take before I can begin to believe that I am perfect? I'd like to START TODAY!The truth is that there is NO SUCH THING as perfection; BUT for so long we've been told otherwise, the complete opposite. We've been conditioned to believe that we must strive for the same things others around us are striving for. Whether that is the seeking of approval from others around us or the purchase of materialistic items. But why? It is simply because we were DOMESTICATED as children!The same way our pets at home are domesticated, so are children. We were taught right from wrong, good behavior vs bad behaviors; and when we practiced what others around us believed was good behavior we were then rewarded. Do you see the correlation between our children and pets?It is not always the "materialistic items" that we seek as a reward, often the reward we are actually seeking is LOVE. We make ourselves believe that if we do something that matches the values of others around us we will receive the reward of love, the reward of their acceptance. But when we do not receive this reward, we begin to self destruct, thinking that we are not "perfect."My friends, PERFECTION does not exist.
