Women's soccer also secures their biggest win in program history, and the basketball teams prepare to tip off their seasons.  Jhivvan Jackson and Keaton Wallace have moved on from UTSA, leaving generational legacies in their wake as elite scorers. Meanwhile, former UT Longhorns coach Karen Aston will embark on a multi-year journey to rebuild a women's basketball program that has long been a stain on the university's image. Episode 166: Preparing for new eras for both of UTSA's basketball programs

 Still a lot to talk about on the bye week! We recap the #22 Roadrunners' win over La Tech, as well as discuss Jeff Traylor being linked to the Texas Tech opening, and quickly summarize UTSA's 2022 recruiting class. 4:38 - UTSA stomps Louisiana Tech 45-16, earning their first win in Ruston in program history 10:35 - The Roadrunners defense showed up in a major way yet again, behind incredible games from Dadrian Taylor and Clarence Hicks 18:10 - Winning in Ruston for the first time exorcised a lot of demons in the heads of UTSA's veteran players, many of whom had lost to La Tech many times in their careers 25:06 - Louisiana Tech's program has taken a lot of losses in the last few weeks, as they got left behind in conference realignment, while also being blown out by both UTEP and UTSA 30:44 - Speaking of UTEP, the epic showdown between the Miners and Roadrunners has gotten picked up for a late night kick off in the Sun Bowl on ESPN2 33:05 - The Texas Tech job has opened up, and of course Jeff Traylor was the first name mentioned as a candidate in nearly every report 51:06 - A quick UTSA recruiting update to carry you all into the early signing period, which is just over a month away now! 

Episode 165: La Tech gets banished to the bottom of the FBS well

 News of UTSA potential joining the AAC broke just as we started recording this, so we opted to wait until later in the week to discuss the realignment movement on Patreon while we waited for more information. That didn't stop this from being one of our most jam-packed episodes, as we recorded together in person for the first time in about two years. 1:20 - The Roadrunners' defense put together the single most impressive single-game performance from a UTSA defense in school history. 14:08 - While the defense may have stole the show, UTSA's offense certainly didn't take the day off against Rice as the run game exploded. 27:18 - San Antonio shows up to support UTSA in a big way with a rocking crowd of over 27k, but the Dome struggled a bit with such a large crowd. 37:29 - It still feels surreal to say it... but UTSA has earned their first ranking in football, coming in at #24 in the AP poll and #25 in the Coaches Poll. 46:23 - Jared got to witness an amazing overtime victory for UTSA soccer as they secured a bid to the C-USA playoff tournament for the first time in program history! 53:48 - UTSA signs men's golf coach John Knauer to a contract extension after the Roadrunners finish in the top 35 over the past two seasons. 56:11 - Previewing Louisiana Tech as UTSA tries to earn a win in Ruston for the first time in school history. 

Episode 164: Welcome to the greatest week in UTSA athletics history

 Any time a game has 98 points scored we're going to walk away with a lot to talk about! It's a long episode of the podcast this week as we break down what went well for UTSA in their quest to protect their undefeated record against Western Kentucky. We also preview a Rice team who comes into San Antonio on a bit of a run. 4:00 - The explanation for why UTSA isn't ranked yet is really quite simple. Episode 162: UTSA fights off the hangover against UNLV

Excuse the length this week but there's just so much to talk about. Between the Roadrunners amazing come from behind win, Jared's travel to Memphis, and the upcoming game against UNLV, we have a lot of ground to cover this week! 8:45 - What caused UTSA to have such a terrible start to the game against Memphis? 28:20 - Frank Harris showed why he's such a great leader of this offense after a gutsy and cerebral performance, ducking potential disaster after potential disaster. 34:53 - The injuries continue to stack up for the offensive line. We are well, well into the danger zone for this unit. 39:15 - Both coaching staffs made a lot of interesting coaching decisions which determined the outcome of the game. Where did Traylor and staff struggle and excel? 50:57 - Jared shares his experiences visiting Memphis for the game. 1:04:10 - UNLV is 0-4 but they're coming off their best performance in two years after taking a ranked Fresno State team to the fourth quarter. 1:10:20 - UTSA's 2015 season is a really good comparison for the start of UNLV's 2021 season. 1:22:23 - Expect UTSA to empty the bench on their offensive line, giving freshmen like Ronnie Garza, Frankie Martinez, Robert Rigsby, and River Gordon some looks.

Episode 160: The Triangle of Toughness vs the State of Tennessee

00:00 - We went back into the Alamodome for the first time in two years. Quite a bit has changed since then! We shared our game day experiences, as well as some positive and negative observations. 25:30 - There wasn't a whole lot to talk about this week as UTSA won so handedly, but we highlighted a few standouts from last week's game over Lamar and shared some impressions from the performance. 41:30 - Our preview of the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders, a team who hasn't really had a fair matchup so far this season. MTSU has some great players, but are they strong enough as a team to knock off the red hot Roadrunners? 55:37 - Conference USA didn't do quite as well in week two as they did in week one, but it wasn't an awful showing for the conference. Episode 159: Dome Sweet Dome as UTSA Stays Perfect in 2021

Triangle traveled baby. The Roadrunners are 1-0 on the season after they traveled to Champaign, Illinois and silenced a Big Ten crowd with a physical and unrelenting style of football.
