Kelly Haugh is the author of "Mind your gut" book - Stress Resilience & Mental Wellness Trainer Gut Health Expert. After going through mental health issues herself such as OCD and anxiety, Kelly had a gut feeling she could do more than taking medication and go to talk-therapy. The birth of her daughter with autism pushed her to research how she could heal herself from the stress Kelly put herself under and from her previous mental illness. Her book is a compilation of tools that Kelly used to heal her gut and mind while going through her own personal struggles. Kelly is a living proof of what it is possible when it comes to healing your gut and mental health as a whole.

Jon was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis at a very young age. Instead of accepting his diagnosis, he took charge of his health and his destiny. In this interview, he talks about his diagnosis, what he did and where he is at right now.

Do you suffer from ulcerative colitis?

Nikki survived through different diagnosis like recurrent migraines to fibromyalgia but when she got diagnosed with cyclic vomit syndrome, she felt stuck when she wasn't given much hope from her doctors. Doctors told her there was nothing she could do and in the meantime she battled through 18 months of feeling extremely unwell, weak and at times at the hospital when she needed help to survive. Nikki didn't accept that diagnosis and started searching within what she could do to cure herself. Nikki has a powerful story to tell us where she took charge of her own diagnosis, health and story so she could be here with us today.

In times of the current pandemic, there is a lot of talk about the increase of domestic violence, divorce and abuse in homes all over the world. I came cross Jaya's story and felt that she had such a powerful story to share with the world. Jaya is a writer, teacher and life coach who has a powerful story to share. Coming from India, Jaya has lived through a challenging childhood but never saw it that way as she always had a loving mum by her side. Then she had to follow her community rules into an arranged marriage which didn't end up as Jaya expected. Jaya talks about her struggles during the years she was abused by her husband and family, how she got herself out of that tragic situation and how she self healed. When I started focussing on myself as a priority, things shifted for me big time. I always felt that I couldn’t focus on myself first because I had to focus on my children, on my husband, at work and everything else that got me busy. All of a sudden there was no more distractions, no more excuses, I had to change my perspective on the idea of focussing on myself.
