Music and It's Importance

Every football fan has a story behind why they started supporting their team, so what are our stories? We take a nostalgic trip down memory lane and reminisce about the moments we started to support our respective clubs. We also talk about happy memories we have (and not so happy!) and what are our views on each others clubs. We'd love to get your views on our clubs and what are your stories about how you started supporting your club. Let us know!

Why Do We Support Our Clubs?

It's an exciting time for all football fans....the new season fixtures have been released! We're all meticulously planning our days and seeing when our teams are playing our main rivals. But what are our "pre predictions"? We discuss both our teams starts and ends to the season, where we think both Aston Villa and Crystal Palace will finish, any players we'd like to see come into the Premier League, as well as Managers. We also make the not so nice prediction of who we think will be the first manager to be sacked in the new season. All that and more is featured today. We'll have a part two of this just before the season starts to see if any of our choices have changed after all the summer activity!

2019/20 "Pre Predictions"

After a longer break, we're back with our first special guest. Today, that special guest in Keith Boanas. A very experienced and highly regarded football coach across both the men's and women's game. Having been given the name 'God' at semi professional side Tooting and Mitcham after guiding them to a record breaking season, Keith crossed over women's football and there began an extremely successful journey. He became manager of Charlton Ladies and won the FA Cup with them in 2005 and also led them to victories in the Premier League Cup in 2004 and 2006. After a period of time at Millwall Lionesses, in 2009 Keith was appointed manager of Estonia Women's national football team and here began a re-structuring programme of youth development and coach education until 2016. The president of Surrey Coaches Association UK, having replaced the late great Sir Bobby Robson, Keith has led coaching courses for many professional and well known ex players. Chris Powell, Dean Kielly and Sean Dyche are some of the names who have been taught by Keith. He now works for the Palace For Life Foundation, a great charity who do amazing things in the community. Today we discuss a very different topic from the norm. We speak about an incident which happened very recently to myself, the reasons why it happened and how its affected my outlook on life now. We both speak very openly about the effects stress and anxiety have had on both of us and why it's so important to keep not only physically healthy but mentally healthy.
