Under her leadership, Rani Velu Nachyar's army marched against the British, winning multiple battles and even overcoming the enemy's ammunition depot with the help of a brave warrior named Kuili. In 1780, she emerged victorious once again, regaining her kingdom and ruling effectively for the next decade. Eventually, she handed over the administration of the kingdom to the Marudu Brothers, Chinnamarudu and Velay Marudu, who served as her minister and commander in chief, respectively.
