Joe Manfre was one of the most sought-after referees in the country. He refereed the women’s US National team multiple times, 10 Collegiate National Championships, countless college games and, of course, the Baltimore Blast. It all started growing up in Baltimore, where Joe was one of the fiercest goalkeepers competing at Patterson High School and University of Baltimore. With 47 years of refereeing at all levels, Joe shares a perspective on the game unlike any I have ever heard before.

Charlie grew up on the outskirts of Baltimore city and had to work extra hard to be accepted into the Highlandtown soccer community. He went on to play professionally with Dallas and competed with the world's best. He even shares a funny story about going out to dinner with Pelé! Charlie has since given a great deal back to the Baltimore soccer community through coaching! This is a great story about a local player who made it big and continues to make a big impact on our soccer community today!

Pete Eibner was a great player who has now become one of the most well-known and reputable coaches in Baltimore. Pete Eibner actually played for Pete Caringi at both Essex and UMBC and, in his podcast today, has some great stories about what it was like to play for Pete Caringi and the influence that had on him. Pete incorporates many of the lessons he learned along the way into his coaching philosophy today. It all comes together in a fun, heart-warming story from one of the most genuine people you could ever meet!

Pete grew up playing soccer in downtown Baltimore during what some might call the “golden age” of Baltimore soccer when Baltimore was a hub for some of the greatest American players to ever play the game! He was one of several players from this Baltimore generation who went on to play professionally. After his playing career he went straight into coaching, first at Essex Community College and then UMBC where he has been coaching for 26 years, recently taking the team to the NCAA Division 1 Final Four in 2014.
