Episode 51: The Finale

This is a very special episode for the podcast! We are celebrating our one year podiversary! For this special occasion we take it back to our home state of Texas and look at some spooky locations that can only be found in the lone star state. Vanessa checks us in at the Jefferson Hotel while Bailie takes us on board the USS Lexington. The cocktail for this episode is the Texas Hurricane. To this delicious drink yourself you will need 1 fluid ounce rum, 1 fluid ounce coconut flavored rum, 1 fluid ounce vodka, 1 fluid ounce gin, 1 fluid ounce triple sec, 2 fluid ounces orange juice, 1 fluid ounce pineapple juice, 1 fluid ounce grenadine syrup, 1 fluid ounce 151 proof rum. Fill a hurricane glass with ice. Then pour in the rum, coconut rum, vodka, gin, triple sec, orange juice, pineapple juice, and grenadine. Stir well with a bar spoon, then pour the 151 rum over the back of the spoon to float the liquor on top of the drink. Finally garnish the glass with orange slice, lime slice, and a cherry. The cocktail we are sipping is the Empress Martini! To make this fancy cocktail yourself, you will need 2 oz Empress 1908 and 1/2 oz Lillet Blanc. Episode 49: Anything But The Trees

Love is in the air and we are definitely in the Valentine's Day spirit! This episode we are sharing stories of romantic ghostly encounters. The cocktail we are enjoying this week is the Love Potion Cocktail. To make the cocktail for yourself you will need 3 oz Gin, 1 oz Lime Juice, 1 oz Elderflower Liqueur, and 6 oz Rosé Champagne. In a cocktail shaker, combine the following: gin, elderflower liqueur, and lime juice. Add ice and shake for 10 seconds. Add regular ice cubes to an empty cocktail glass. Strain cocktail mixture over ice into two glasses. Top with rosé champagne, garnish with a fresh rose petal.  Things on our grocery list week: eggs, almond milk, gin, blackberries, and ghosts!  This week we are discussing haunted stores. Vanessa discusses COS the clothing store in New York, NY. While Bailie talks about the Pike Place Market in Seattle, WA. Our drink this week is the Farmer's Market Gin & Tonic. To make this drink yourself you will 2 oz. of Gin, Tonic Water, 3 Cucumber Wheels, 1 sprig of Fresh Rosemary, and 1 Lime Wedge.  Place the cucumber wheels in the bottom of a rocks/Old Fashioned glass and squeeze lime on top. Gently muddle the cucumber to release the juices. Add the sprig of rosemary and fill glass with ice. Pour in Gin and top off with tonic water. Episode 45: Always be Nicolas Cage

This is our first Share Your Spirits episode of 2020! This month we are share two amazing stories, and a little bit of mind fog, while sipping on one amazing cocktail. This episode we are drinking the Blue Lagoon Cocktail. To make this yourself all you need is: 1 oz. of your favorite vodka, 5 oz. of lemonade, and blue curacao. Put the vodka and lemonade in a shaker with ice, and shake until chilled.  This is our Social Media Poll episode! Y'all voted, we researched, and we're talking haunted bars! Vanessa discusses the haunted Earnestine and Hazel's and also discovers it might be the best place to find a burger in Tennessee! While Bailie travels across the pond and discusses the Ye Olde Salutation Inn in Nottingham. We are sipping on an Amaretto Sour! To make on for yourself you will need 1 1⁄2 oz Amaretto liqueur, 3⁄4 oz bourbon, 1 oz fresh lemon juice, 1 tsp simple syrup, 1⁄2 oz egg white, beaten. Add all ingredients into a shaker and dry-shake (no ice). Add ice and shake again until chilled. Strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice.  This week we are taking a ride to a couple of Haunted Amusement Parks! Bailie takes us to Lake Shawnee Amusement Park, and Vanessa takes a stroll through Kings Island Amusement Park. The cocktail is the Fairy Floss Martini! To make the cocktail for yourself, you will need 1.5 fl oz vodka or vanilla vodka if you have it, 5 fl oz cranberry juice, 1 tsp lemon juice, and handful of Cotton Candy Mix the vodka, cranberry juice and lemon juice together in a shaker with plenty of ice. Add the cotton candy to your martini glass. We are talking haunted forest! A topic chosen by patron Sam!! We discuss the eerie Pine Barrens Forest and spooky Freetown Fall river Forest.  Our drink this episode is the Norwegian Forest Cocktail. To make one you will need : 6 raspberries, 10 blueberries, 4 blackberries, 2 sprigs of rosemary, 4 lime wedges, ice, juice of 1/2 lime, 1/2 cup simple syrup, 1/2 cup vodka, and ginger ale.  Divide the berries, rosemary and limes in two glasses then muddle and fill glasses with ice.  Add simple syrup and vodka and stir then top off with ginger ale.
