 Chip was at a 6 year old’s birthday party and found himself in quite the predicament around the gift. Chip also got caught up in several bits of small talk at this same party and also at school pickup. Cern has some great small talk stories and watch the movie Friday with his son and his son realized there were some memes in that movie. We are old now I guess. Kid’s Birthday Parties, Friday, and Small Talk

 Cern has diversified his appliances from beyond Samsung and yet he is still plagued with issues. His Kitchenaid fridge had crapped out, so that is the newest battle on Cern’s hands. His good standing does still remain with the HOA. We share a few stories about selling stuff on Facebook Marketplace and Cern shares his good deed. We then discuss some of the MLB’s moves to try to make baseball less boring. This includes moving the pitcher’s rubber back one foot, robo umps, and even allowing a hitter to steal 1st base.  We are big baseball fans here so we talk about all things baseball playoffs for this season. We are pulling for the SF Giants, but really want anyone but the Dodgers to win. Cern put his Halloween decorations up well before the HOA mandated 15 days. Several of Cern’s neighbors have joined him, so he thinks another HOA notice has been avoided.    Everyone seems to be enjoying the latest episode where we gave Joe’s wedding a proper recap. Chip scored a receipt which his number was 69 and he tired to cash it in like some lottery ticket. Chip’s neighbor has been taking their garbage to the school across the street, so we dig into that. Cern shares an odd story about a weird guy/stalker that he has been running into at work.  We spent Saturday celebrating our good buddy Joe at his wedding. We both were groomsmen and we did a bang up job. Chip took his new Tesla up some dirt mountain switchbacks without fully being aware if it was possible or not. We ended up seeing it through and had a great time at the wedding. Congrats to Joe and Stacy!

 Chip shares about this tiny plane experience on a recent flight to Boston, which would have brought fear right to Cern’s heart. Speaking of fear we are scared of the 4-hour boner that all these pill commercials warn men about. Chip was trying to explain baseball to his nearly 6-year-old daughter and it made him realize how confusing the sport is, but we discussed that might also be why it is so amazing.  Unfortunately, the fires have started already in California and getting closer to Cern’s house. Chip watched a bunch of old comedy favorites lately like The Big Lebowski, Super Bad, and Pineapple Express. We shot movie lines back and forth for a while and chatted about our kid’s first days of school. Thanks for listening!

 In an effort to not drink as much and not be hungover Chip tried some nonalcoholic beer. It was decent but left much to be desired, mostly a buzz. Cern’s kids have started school, so we chatted about our early years in high school and some funny stories we have.  We open the show with a tangent like usual. Folsom Lake is really low and some old gold mining equipment from the Gold Rush has surfaced.
