It's 2022. This year, we are focusing on following God to where He has called us. The road may not be easy, but I believe that if you have faith, you will be able to withstand and conquer any trial. I want this year to be a faith-filled year. No longer will our days be filled with doubt and self-pity. Delighting in Your Weaknesses

Knowing that the calling God has placed over your life is actually a command comes with huge benefits. For starters, God does not command humans to do anything we cannot accomplish with His empowerment. This gives us confidence to move forward in our calling, knowing that God has already made a pathway to a successful mission. All we need to do is listen, trust and obey. You are never too unqualified or unclean to follow a command of God. Your Calling is a Command

It is impossible to live a life that glorifies God without humility. That is how important this topic is. It's never a comfortable conversation to have, but it is imperative that we have it. Humility is Required.

When we lose sight of grace, we lose sight of God.  Some of us think we are morally superior to others because we follow more rules in the Bible. Others of us hate ourselves after we sin and think God never wants anything to do with us. I Forgot About Grace Again.

Closed doors exist for many reasons....but not because God can't open them. As we live a life directed by the Spirit, we should never panic and pout at the sight of closed doors, but lean on God to make a way where there seems to be no way. How to Respond to Closed Doors

This week God told me to "be present." I asked Him how, and this is the message I've been inspired to preach on today. I don't think being present is the goal, as much as it is the product of reaching the goal. I think the real goal is learning how to not linger in the past nor worry about the future. Isaiah 40:29-31 He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. It's hard to feel content while comparing other people's blessings to yours. The truth is, our envy and covetousness for other people's things root from our urge to glorify ourselves. This is a problem, because we were created with the purpose to glorify God. The Blessing That Came With Challenges

For many of us, we received an identity that was forced onto us by the world before we could even discover who we really were. For me, it was the “churchboy”. Throughout life I’ve learned that we are not who the world says we are, but are all individuals whose identities were given to us by God.
