Dynasty

There are a group of people who make such complex artistry that it's almost incomprehensible. Meredith Monk is one of those people. An artist since the sixties, she creates nothing but ethereal, weird art that has a cult following who are rabidly devoted to her. The question then follows: What the hell is an artist? And is there any need for stuff like this to even be released? The group studies the film Turtle Dreams  as a case study of what the hell Avant Garde art is, and discusses what artists truly are. Lyricism - Andy Schauf

Scott Pilgrim is one of the most brilliant, intelligent films of the past decade. How come no one has seen it, and why haven't people given it its due? The question at the heart of this question is one of style vs substance. What matters more? Is style substance on its own? It's a complex question. The film, directed by Edgar Wright, is a constant barrage of flashy, over the top music and visual design. It should be lauded as the masterpiece that it is. Sadly, it probably never will be. Perhaps the only non superhero graphic novel to ever transfer into the big screen without being completely remade, this film stands the test of time. Did you know, for example, in order for this film to be more like a comic book the actors never blink once for the whole film? Being a Creative - Featuring Anna and Regan Luth

Today we talk about the seminal video game, undertale! Undertale is a very strange, but beautiful video game where, instead of killing your enemies you can choose to show them mercy. The game turns the conventions of video games on its head. Should you jump on the goomba's head? Why don't you just befriend it instead!This video game literally changed one of the show's host's lives, sending him off to australia and encouraging him to pursue his dream and to stay determined. This game would probably change your life too, if you let it. But you know, the only way to find out is if you go play it. The conversation starts off about this video game, but quickly turns into a huge conversation about social justice, mercy, and whether or not it's more important to ship art or make a statement when it comes to fighting for social change. Minds are changed, arguments are made, and in the end it's gonna come down to how you feel you need to act. The only activists are someone who's active, and fighting for social change.
