Hello folks! In this episode I give stats on anxiety and depression disorders. After rambling on I go into just a little bit about what anxiety is like for me.... Of course there will be much more ramblings on all that in the upcoming episodes of this podcast. Please, everyone... Go easy on me. This is my very first time doing something like this and I am not a public speaker. You may be asking why then am I doing this... Well to be honest... I'm not all too sure. I guess I just want to share a bit about my lovely adventures with anxiety and depression. In upcoming episodes I will be touching on different topics... Some may be TRIGGERING for some people. I just want to give this as a warning as well, I AM NOT a licensed counselor or therapist... I'm just a guy that cares. I'm here to lend a listening ear... As I hope all you guys do.... ADAA (Anxiety and Depression Association of America) stats on anxiety and depression.

I'll be talking (well probably more like rambling on) about my day to day life and what it's like living with anxiety and depression (along with other things). We as a society need to become more comfortable talking about mental illnesses. According to the ADAA (Anxiety and Depression Association of America), the most common mental illnesses are anxiety disorders and affect almost 40 million Americans aged 18 and older. Depression often goes hand In hand with anxiety disorders (or vise versa). Of course there's a multitude of other disorders that can coexist with anxiety disorders... Headaches, IBS, and sleep disorders just to name a few. In future episodes I'll also be talking more about the different anxiety disorders, depression disorders along with a multitude of other disorders that can coexist with them.

Intro to Dark Day Talks

This is something totally new for me... Kind of like an experiment. I'm going to be talking to you guys, strangers to me... And about real stuff... Depression and Anxiety... And how they both affect my life. It probably won't be an everyday sort of thing, and I'm going to try not to ramble on and on and on and on.. too much...
