Town&Country Magazine: Dinner at Eight

Renowned architect and interior designer John Saladino took inspiration from the 2003 film Girl With a Pearl Earring for the Veranda townhouse. Based on the story behind Dutch master Johannes Vermeer's 17th century portrait of a servant girl named Griet, the film incorporated Vermeer's iconic themes of light and geometry, which Saladino echoed in the townhouse. House Beautiful, Town&Country and Veranda magazines partnered with three distinguished interior designers—Thom Filicia, Richard Mishaan and John Saladino—to furnish and decorate three luxury townhouses, themed to their favorite films, at Soho Mews, a new residential development of 68 dwellings designed by noted architects Gwathmey Siegel & Associates, and landscape architect Peter Walker, at 311 West Broadway in Manhattan's trendy Soho neighborhood.
