NASH risk reduction in people with T2D and NAFLD | With Dr Stephen Harrison

Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) a condition where disruptions and dysregulation of lipids in the body causes an excessive build-up of fat in the liver, and is estimated to affect 75% of people with type 2 diabetes. In around 1/5 of cases this steatosis causes chronic inflammation, which can lead to fibrosis, cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma.
