Growth is important and necessary but sometimes they can get uncomfortable and disruptive. In this episode, we discuss how you can embrace uncomfortable experiences and use them to our advantage.

The journey of life has introduced each one of us to many experiences: trials, turning points and many more. These experiences shape us into who we become. They give us stories, stories that may influence others when shared. We introduce to you the series; What is your story?! Introduction: What is your story?!

Have you ever found yourself thinking or saying, “I will be able to make a difference only when… I come up with a really big idea, I get to a certain age, I make enough money, I reach a specific milestone in my career, I’m famous, or I retire”?(Inspired by the book Intentional living, John Maxwell). The good news is, you can make a difference too with little to nothing and it can be done now!

When we mention the phrase, 'do not settle', our minds are often drawn to not settling in relationships, in pursuing our goals, etc. However, there is one crucial aspect we often leave out, our character and attitude. We often say, 'that is how I am'. How can you settle for that? You can change, make it a point to do if need be.

Do not settle!

What will people say has killed so many dreams than anything. Do what you think is best for you. Live life on your own terms!

Each of us goes through one moment or the other and it becomes difficult overcoming them. We may never rise again if care is not taken. So I am here to give you a few tips on how you can manage them. I hope it helps.

In your low moments

In life, we win some and lose some. Do not beat yourself up for losing. It is an opportunity to become better.

Do not be too hard on yourself!

People tend to share their story in a good light without sharing the challenging part. Some of us also tend to shy away from sharing our stories because we haven't gotten there yet. It is important to share your story as it is to encourage others.

What is your story?

If we commit to doing it we do it wholeheartedly. But if we try, we tune our mind to just do it, if it works out fine and if not it's fine. That attitude doesn't help in our growth.

Start Now and commit to doing it, but not trying.

Making a decision can be very tough sometimes. It is important for us to be firm in whatever decision we make, if not people may take advantage of us and tell us what to do with our lives. It is your life and you know how to live it best. Seek counsel when necessary. But the decision lies in your hands. Be firm!

The year 2019 is gradually getting to a close. January 2019 was like yesterday! All the same we grateful to be witnessing the end of the year. Oftentimes people put off all plans when it's a few days to the end of the year till 1 January before they start doing something new. Actually, you can achieve so much in a few days. Listen to this weeks episode and challenge yourself to do something new or finish the year strong!
