Dr. Jamal Dixon is an internal medicine physician based out of Atlanta, Ga. He is a cancer survivor after being diagnosed with a rare form of stomach cancer in his 3rd year of residency. He started his medical education at Meharry Medical College. After graduation, he completed his medical training at Grady hospital through the Morehouse School of Medicine. He specializes in the management of acute and chronic health conditions with a primary focus on preventative and holistic care. Dr. Dixon now uses his experience as a patient to provide counseling services for familial, and spousal caregivers of patients who are dealing with acute, chronic, and terminal illnesses. He also has a specialized focus on the unseen plight of caregivers and medical PTSD. Dr. Sylvie Stacy is a preventive medicine specialist living and practice in Birmingham, Alabama. She received her MD from UMass Medical School and completed her residency and earned an MPH at Johns Hopkins. Dr. Sylvie went through something similar, but decided to help others by creating a website that inventoried jobs looking for physicians. She didn’t stop there and wrote this great book.
