Without air, he cannot live, and the quality of life is dependent on the quality of the air. The air itself can be compared to not only something physical but also spiritual. In an atmosphere where there's a lack of kindness or goodness, or ethics, there is a healthy life that will be missing as well. In a place where we don't recognize that there is a Creator of the world, or that there is a Supreme Being, the environment itself is diseased. It is constantly threatened with a possibility of being stricken with contagious maladies. It's just the physical acting onto the spiritual. This is part of life. The first general step in healing is to purify that atmosphere. When there are things which are not healthy, this is the first part to take. Purification of the air is the task of every single person and those that have knowledge. Understanding of life and other things which can change the world. Now, this is effected through the letters itself that are written in the holy books. Whether or not you are a believer, know that the air has to be pure. That is the key. That is the importance of it. This is the way to clean up the air around you. Sometimes, a person finds themselves in an environment which is just not healthy. That environment will an effect not just on the people around there, but on yourself as well. If you find yourself in an environment which is not clean, not healthy, not right, walk away. If you're strong enough and if you think you can do it, clean up the air around you. Clean up that atmosphere, change the way things are, change the way people speak, change the thoughts, the actions of all those around you. If you see things that are not being done properly, make that change. You will see that you will have affected not only yourself, the people around you, but also the atmosphere. That is what it means when it says that the air around you should be pure, at all times, not just once in a while, and not just in a certain particular place, but wherever you are. The Air Around You

Daily Wisdom  – Motivational Podcast – Day 737 – Inspiration: Above and Beyond In the morning, we open our eyes after a good night's sleep and having stretched out our limbs, and straightened our back and even clothed ourselves. We are then ready to begin a new day, all fresh with vigor and strength. The miracle of rest and the renewed strength is experienced every single morning. This is when we rise from our sleep to begin a new day with renewed energy. But as in the case of many other wonders which we see daily, or at least at regular intervals like the rising of the sun, and the changing of the seasons, our attention is usually not as excited by these events. So, we often not look at them in a particular manner. Strength is not always found in the quality of youth. Isn't that interesting? It is always found in hope and in confidence. Consider for instance, two people. One young and the other one old and both are walking in the same road. They are climbing the same mountain and with the goal far out of sight. The question is, who will reach it? The younger one, starting without the full strength but with little hope, or will it be the older one lacking in strength but full of hope? See, this youth itself will soon get out of breath and despairing of ever attaining the goal and will give up in frustration; but the older man will typically steadily forge ahead, constantly renewing the strength with hope and confidence. You can see, physical strength will be of no avail where there is no hope. They that hope, they that believe, will renew their strength. The need for hope is greater than the need for strength. So, when you wake up in the morning and you feel refreshed, and you feel the strength coming back to you from having a good night of sleep, it's not the strength that you will need for the day. The strength is good and it's necessary. But it's not the most important concept or aspect of your life. What you will need for the day, is hope. The Need for Hope

Daily Wisdom  – Motivational Podcast – Day 736 – Inspiration: Above and Beyond Man is the only living creature that has to dress himself in clothes. Have you ever thought about that for a moment? All other animals and birds are born with their clothes on, or they grow their own clothes such as furs and feathers and so on. Now, these protect them from the elements; the cold, the heat, the rain, and anything else that they need protection from. Human beings wear clothes not just for protection against the elements. There are climates in certain parts of the world where no clothes are necessary for protection. Yet even the natives of those climates wear certain clothing, certain coverings. It's interesting, isn't it? Clothes are important because without those, a person is somewhat ashamed of who they may be. Every decent human being has an inborn sense of shame to display his nakedness. It is a sense of inborn decency and modesty to cover his body at all times. Modesty in clothing is considered differently for various people. Some believe they have to add on other “things” above and beyond just the regular clothing. Decency, however, comes from the fact that a person recognizes what they wear. It is often said, that the person's personality is reflected in the clothes that they wear. How do you feel when you dress yourself? Do you feel that sense of shame or decency? Do you feel that it's appropriate for you to show parts of your body which are really only yours? In some countries, some people wear clothing of much lighter coverings, even skimpy, for that matter. But in others, it is felt and it is an inborn or sometime the fashion, that they wear a full apparel to cover all of their parts of their body. Again, covering your parts of the body doesn't make you decent by just that fact. No. What makes you decent is the fact that you're dressed appropriately, according to what the world relates to in our day and age. Be careful with what you wear. Be careful on how you cover yourself. If you decide to uncover yourself, be careful of the effect that it would have not just on you and your personality, but anyone around you. Clothes

Daily Wisdom  – Motivational Podcast – Day 735 – Inspiration: Above and Beyond We are like people who are bound with ropes. When we wake up, we feel released. We are again, in control of our movements and we can get out of bed; but until that moment, we're tied. In a deeper sense, there are people who are tied hand and foot in a variety of ways. For instance, one may find oneself enmeshed in economic difficulty, or bound by financial obligation. One may find oneself a prisoner of circumstances. There are many ways to be bound up in life. Worse still, a person may be a captive of his own habits and inclination, and so they lose control over their actions. How is that? Why would anybody lose control of their actions and be bound hand and foot in these habits or inclinations? There is a way to release that. Think deeply about those actions. Some are difficult, or at least challenging. An alcoholic or a drug addict, for instance; some of these people have a disease. The symptoms these people have, need medical or often professional attention. But for others, who are not so far into the addictions, yet the inclinations or the habits have them tied down and kept them hand and foot continuously tied, why wouldn't they release those? If you think about it, if you think of the greatness of being released and being awake at all times, and being in charge of what you want to do, this is an incentive for you to be able to wake up. Wake up and be whatever you wish to be. What wake up and do whatever you wish to do. Don't ever be a prisoner of your own inclinations or habits. You should be in control of them, not a servant to them, and certainly not under the influence of those habits that are detrimental to you. Tied Hand & Foot

Daily Wisdom  – Motivational Podcast  – Day 734 – Inspiration: Above and Beyond There are many good health habits in this world. Some we learned by ourselves and some that we are taught from families, friends, or parents. Brushing your teeth, sitting properly at the table, eating an apple a day will keep the doctor away, there are so many of these wonderful sayings. But some habits are destructive, and can, unfortunately, impede your health, or somewhat limit some of your general functions. Smoking, for instance, is one of them. Smoking will reduce your ability to run and often to do things in the happiest way. It will also control your mind at times by dictating what type of mood you will have. Drinking, interestingly enough, will have similar ideas. It might even restrict you from being able to have certain type of foods without being affected. Of course, someone who drinks excessively will also have a change in moods and be a totally different person. Drugs will also make you a different person. There are good health habits that a person should follow through on a daily basis; and those are the things that we are taught that will keep your life longer, healthier, better, in a saner way. You might say, "This is my life. I can do what I want with it." That's true. You are entirely entitled to do whatever you wish with your health or your body. But remember that there are certain things that need to be done in this world, as an improvement and those things were left up sometimes to an individual and you may be this individual. You may be the one that was chosen to make things better in this world, especially in your corner of the world, where you are or where you find yourself. During these situations, it's up to you. It is totally up to you to become the ambassador of these things and make it better than it was when you found it. How would you do that if you are drunk? How would you do that if you are stoned? How would you do that if you are totally under the influence of any drugs? You wouldn't be able to. If you really want to accomplish in this world and be productive, and do things above and beyond what you think your mind would let you do, or you think you might limit yourself to do, you need to have good health habits. Good Health Habits

Striving to be good is not something which is unique to one person. I truly believe that it is the goal of most people. Here’s a suggestion: you need to set forth a program for goodness, striving in the best way that you can with your mind and seeking the truth. Be able to critically examine every move that you make. Make sure that you conform with honesty and integrity. This will come through great efforts. This effort doesn’t imply that one must pulverize mountains, shatter boulders, and turn the world upside down in order to be good. The truth is that any act of goodness, whatever it may be, is perfectly satisfactory when performed with true intent. To achieve this kind of intense effort, meaning the studying of goodness in other people – this is what striving to be good means. If you bless someone when you meet them, if you need something which is beneficial to your mind, if you help another get what they need, if you help someone through a difficulty, if you do any of these things, you will have a greater life. So, why not start today? Again, if this is something that you’ve tried in the past and you have not been successful, why not try again today? Pick up the phone and call someone that you haven’t spoken to in a while, and wish them a good day. When you drive by the road today, if you happen to see an unfortunate homeless person, give him a coin or a dollar. Do all the things that you can to make this world a better place. When you get to work, tell a colleague how good they look. When you hang up the phone after a conversation with a client or a customer, wish them a good day. Bless them with good things. Striving to be Good

They will never come to do things that are either inappropriate, or not according to the ways of nature.” By seeing future consequences of an action, a person will make the right choices. And as a matter of fact, a person will always lead a good life. Only a clear recognition – so clear that it’s actually seen as a higher understanding – of the loss that will be caused by something done inappropriately, can safeguard a person from slipping into things which are not supposed to be done. Take a moment and analyze your situation. Look at the things that you should be doing, or not be doing, and you will lead a very good life. One who sees the consequences understands that what will happen in the future may not be the right thing and therefore they will be held back from doing things which they’re not supposed to do. A person goes to a friend’s house and is offered a drink. They know that if they take this drink, this will lead them to become a different person. They may take more than one drink – and even get drunk. Now this would lead to consequences which are, in a way, unforgiven. But if you think about it in advance, and you see the consequence before the deed, you now can make the right decision as to what to do. That person is a wise person. I invite you to always think of the consequences in advance before you do any deed, and ask yourself this question, “Is it worth it? Will it change my life? What will be the consequence?” If you understand the answer, act accordingly. This will be important for you, and important for your family, for the rest of your life. Seeing the Consequences

Daily Wisdom  – Motivational Podcast  – Day 731 – Inspiration: Above and Beyond Are you worrying about things in your life? You may worry about losing some of the things that you have accumulated, or perhaps losing a close friend or a relative. Or maybe even losing an opportunity. How does worry help you in any way? Think about it for a second, what does worrying bring you? Worrying, is a disease, and if it spreads it can be dangerous. It doesn’t bring anything at all. It doesn’t even help you. If anything, it makes you depressed, upset, and often wondering about what the future will be. Why worry? Why not let nature, life, and the eagerness to live a good and happy life, be the one that guides you? Worrying only makes you sad, which is a pre-emptive option to make you anxious; and anxiety brings about more worrisome times. Worrying doesn’t do anything for you but destroy you. It destroys your ability to think and grow. The potential possibilities that are offered to you become destitute as worrying completely destroys a person. On the other hand, having faith in who you are, what you do, what you have, and the things that you’ve accomplished so far, should make you realize that life is beautiful and you have plenty of things to do and so much to look forward to. There is no reason, whatsoever, to worry. There is no benefit to it. So, why worry? Think about the last time you worried about anything in your life. Was there any good to that? Was there any truth to the thoughts and the delusions that you had during that moment? You were just concerned. You may have been afraid, or fearful, of the future. I guarantee that if you look at every single circumstance of everything that happened to you, it all turned out pretty good. Worry should not be part of your life because worrying does not help. Worry

Daily Wisdom  – Motivational Podcast  – Day 730 – Inspiration: Above and Beyond There is a word which can be difficult to understand at times. The word is ‘entitlement’. Why would anybody think that they are entitled to some things? For instance, a person says, “I’m entitled to my rights. This is part of my being here.” Or a person may say, “I’m entitled to receive what is due to me.” An entitlement means there is a certain designation. A denomination that has been specific for that person, and this has to be given. But, if you think about it, why do you feel entitled? Perhaps you believe that you deserve the things that you want. I would like to change that term. Instead of ‘entitlement’, let’s call it a different word. Perhaps think about a word like ‘deserving’ or ‘kindly receiving’. Now, there is a difference. “Deserving” means that somebody worked for something. You may say, “Entitlement could also be deserving, they could work together.” That is true. The difference is an entitlement means it’s a right, or a privilege that you demand. Deserving is something that you’ve earned by the goodness and the kindness that you’ve rendered, or something that you’ve done positively. You should always look at life in a way where things are done as a kindness, as a favor, an honor, or a privilege. Then, the Heavens will possibly decide whether or not you are entitled to what you wish to receive. Entitlement shouldn’t be between people. Between people should be love, an exchange of goodness at all times. Deeds of kindness should be constantly and continuously on your mind and in your actions. I hope that you accept this definition, and I hope that from now on you look at life, not as an entitlement, but as a gift. A gift from heaven that allows you to be the best that you can be. Entitlement

Daily Wisdom  – Motivational Podcast – Day 729 – Inspiration: Above and Beyond It has been said that a person should be humble of spirit before every other individual. The reason for this is that each person has a quality that others lacks, and they complement one another. There are some advantages that one person may have over another. One may have superiority in one area, and another might need help in that same area. This is analogist of the human body, which contains a head and feet. The feet are at the lowest point, and the head sits at the highest point, superior to all other organs. In a sense, the feet still have an advantage over the head. The head needs the feet to go places. In this way, the legs support the body. When one experiences pain in the head, one can draw blood from the feet in order to heal the head. Thus, the head is lacking without the feet. So too, everyone needs every other human being. Our world is made up of so many different people with so many different religions and so many different categories. What we must know is that there is no perfection in this world without other people. The only way this world can be enhanced is by living with one another in peace and love, and contributing to one another. We have to transcend the differences between the heads and the feet. There is no difference between us – we’re all the same. Let’s make this place a heavenly place. A place where goodness, kindness, and greatness reside at all times. This will make such a beautiful world for all of us. I hope you will understand that, and you will contribute today by extending yourself with a good deed to another human fellow. Selflessness

Daily Wisdom  – Motivational Podcast – Day 728 – Inspiration: Above and Beyond A wise man taught that everything we see, whether good or bad, is really a reflection of ourselves. If it was not, we would simply not see it. This phenomenon is part of the kindness that the Creator has given to us. This is the way that He teaches us a lesson in life. Most of us have difficulty hearing or finding out from others that we have a flaw, that we don’t recognize. In order for us to figure it out in a way that we would accept, the Creator sets up a confrontation with a person who exhibits the same flaw in some form. When we see it, we react by saying, “How terrible is that! I can’t believe it.” But then it dawns on us that we exhibit the same type of behavior, maybe in a different form. The same is also true with positive things. We recognize a positive characteristic in others because we have it in ourselves. If we didn’t have any element of it we would not be able to recognize it. In other words, you are what you see and you see what you are. This is all about facing yourself. That’s what the world is. It’s interesting that many people who passed away in Germany, during the war in the 1930’s, could not and did not recognize the evil at that time. The reason for this is because they had not ever done it themselves. They could not fathom that anyone could murder in cold blood while being so critical of the things they were doing – and feel so good about it. You see, if you’re incapable of crying, it’s impossible to imagine that someone else is capable of it. There are atrocities today that we can’t even relate to because we are not capable of doing such things ourselves. The same is true for goodness or holiness. Many of us are cynical because we feel that we’ve never met someone who’s truly good or truly honest. But the truth is, we have, and it is you. You can face yourself by knowing that you are truly good, if you want to. If you do good. By doing good yourself, you will see good in others and you will share that same feeling. They will see the good and you will see the good. They will become better and you will become better. The whole world then affects each other. Higher, better, and stronger, without any end to it. Facing Yourself

Daily Wisdom  – Motivational Podcast – Day 727 – Inspiration: Above and Beyond I’m sure you’ve heard of the word ‘arrogance’. This word describes the ego of a person who is pretentious, vain, disdainful. Ego is a disease, it’s something that bothers the whole world, yet we live with it. Many people think it’s quite alright to be arrogant. They believe that everything that they do is better than anything else; that anyone else does. They believe that everything they do is better than what anybody else does. Why be arrogant? When I was younger, I learned that words that come from the heart, enter the heart. As I’ve grown older, I’ve come to better understand the wisdom of these words, and their profound meaning. I decided to create these lessons some time ago. The reason for doing so was an attempt to share with as many people as possible ideas, feelings, and concepts that could be helpful to listeners. Now you must know that these lessons I write about, I have learned from different people. They were brought from many different sources including close friends, family members, mentors, and others. I realized the importance of sharing simple, yet focused, messages with as much clarity as possible. I invite you to read to them here, and realize that arrogance is not about the other person, it’s about you. I myself must admit that I also had arrogance. At one point in time I thought I was bigger than I am today. Then I realized the world is so much bigger, and my purpose in life is not to be arrogant – it’s to be kind, sharing, giving, helping, and thoughtful. I started creating these lessons, which has affected me as well. Arrogance

Daily Wisdom  – Motivational Podcast – Day 726 – Inspiration: Above and Beyond I was asked a question, “How do you control your life? How do you discipline yourself? What do you do to dominate the day? How do you manage and rule everything that you do?” When you take control of your life, the first place to start is with time. Wherever you place your hours of the day, this is where your time control starts. But, you cannot control time until you first control yourself. Life is like a coin; you can spend it any way you wish. But you can only spend it once. So, you have to ask yourself: Where have you placed your heart? Where have you placed your mind and your soul? What is important to you? What was the reason why you entered this world? If you can answer these questions then you’ll be able to control yourself, and you will know that you have to do much better than you did yesterday. When is your time for studying, for prayer? Do you reserve time for your family? Do you have time to help the world? Are all the whims of the world bothering you? Are things that are happening outside of you controlling what you do? If the answer is ‘yes’, then you need to refocus and discipline yourself. Realize that your time is the accomplishment of your mission. This is what you have to do in life. Just like how you can control time, you can also change and affect the world by what you do. Everything that you do will affect everything else. By taking control of your time you will control your life. This is why time is the first place to start. For those who ask, “How do you make changes in your life?” First understand the importance of time control. Once you understand that, realize that you can never catch up, and never regain the time that was past or lost. From now own, you need to be very careful to make sure that your time is used wisely. Understanding this will allow you to control your day, and start changing. Everything around you can be changed – for the good, and for the better. So, make the best life that you can. Time Control

Daily Wisdom  – Motivational Podcast – Day 725 – Inspiration: Above and Beyond People often wonder what a parent should be. How can we teach a parent? How do we become a parent? What should a parent learn, and where should a parent get their information to become a parent? The truth is, there isn’t any book out there that you can read that can make you a parent. To be a parent means living by example. It is who you are. By being a good person, by being kind and giving, by being understanding and always loving, then you will be a good parent. Parenting is not a trick. It’s not a concept or something that you learn as a technique or procedure. It’s not a program, and it’s certainly not a classroom that you set up in your home to show your children who you are. Parenting is the living example of the person that you wish to be and who you strive to be every day. It’s greater than life. It’s your being, it’s you inside. It’s a gracious and loving human being who wants to give at all times, unconditionally. You live by this example, not just to the children, but to the world as well. One of the beautiful things about being a parent, one of the concepts that you can teach your children, is about giving, sharing, and being charitable. When you have guests, show them that you care for them as though they are part of your family. Treat everyone with a certain amount of beauty, and honor, in a distinguished way. Treat everyone that way, and be forgiving and gracious. Be gentle and tolerant of everybody and everything around you, and you will be a good parent. That’s what parenting is. Parenting is not an ideology, a chapter in your life, or a course you take. Parenting is the way you live your life every day. This, in turn, will teach your children how to become good parents. A Parent

Daily Wisdom  – Motivational Podcast – Day 724 – Inspiration: Above and Beyond The world that you live in is actually a world that you’ve created by being the person that you are. Everything that you attract around you is by the way that you act. To be affectionate, for instance, means to be kind to another, to be charitable, and compassionate. It means that you can care about other people, even more so than you care for yourself. To be considerate and cordial about the things that are being asked of you. To give with great amount of kindness but without any intended or non-intended construed ideas in your mind. Just giving for the sake of helping. To be courteous, friendly, gentle, loving, thoughtful, and even tolerant. All of this can be summed up in one word: ‘kind’. To be kind means all of these things, are packaged in one concept. Why not be kind? Why not be that way all the time? Even if, at times, you wonder if it is the right way to be. Even in circumstances where people may not let you be that way. Why not train yourself to always be kind? Let the kind person within you change the world. Make a new, kind environment for everyone. You can create it. What you live around, and who is around you, is only because of you. So, why not create that environment, and keep it constantly beautiful at all times. The world that you live in, and the world that everybody will inhabit around, will be so much more beautiful. Remember these words and, if there are too many, just reread this passage.
