The boys let the power of Tina Turner wash over them as they review HBO Max's new doc, TINA. They then follow her to Bartertown to see if MAD MAX BEYOND THUNDERDOME still holds up. There's also a SPEED ROUND: 1985 edition, some light chatter about if anyone can ever enjoy Mel Gibson again, and an appreciation of Ian finally speaking into the correct side of his microphone. The guys rip out spines and stomp on necks as they review the new MORTAL KOMBAT, then backflip to the Bruce Lee classic ENTER THE DRAGON to see if it still kicks ass. There's a martial arts Speed Round, a look back at 1995's MORTAL KOMBAT, and an unnerving discussion about what everyone's fatalities would be. Round 1... FIGHT!

This week it's a celebration of National Treasure Frances McDormand, fresh off her Oscar win, as the guys review NOMADLAND and pair it with Ms. McDormand's (and the Coen Brothers') screen debut, BLOOD SIMPLE. Plus an all-McDormand Speed Round, more drops than you can shake a stick at, and the retirement of our Cure for COVID segment (despite COVID still being a very real threat please get vaccinated k thanks bye).

It's a biopic double-header as the panel checks out JUDAS AND THE BLACK MESSIAH, then dip back to 2007's THE ASSASSINATION OF JESSE JAMES BY THE COWARD ROBERT FORD to see if it still holds up now that we're not 20-something's. Special Returning Guest Anjali Prasertong again adds some gravity to the conversation, plus an all Brad Pitt Speed Round!

It's a double dose of the afterlife as the guys check out Pixar's newest, SOUL, followed by 1990's Greatest Hair Competition aka FLATLINERS. Tony and Pete go mano a baldo over Pixar's potential repetitiveness and there's some real sharing going on as well. The kind of sharing only Joel Schumacher can elicit....

The boys get heavy with Amazon's SOUND OF METAL, then- mostly because it sounded funny- they check out the 1981 animated boob montage known as HEAVY METAL. Coming at you like a scantily-clad woman riding a featherless turkey, it's FILM OR MOVIE!

It's a (much deserved) Gary Oldman love fest as the guys check out David Fincher's MANK, followed by a dip back to BRAM STOKER'S DRACULA to see if their junior high selves were right all along. Even Keanu's accent can't derail the hot cinema talk that goes down in this episode.

Mankula

It's a Spike Lee Joint today on FOM as the guys check out the director's breakout DO THE RIGHT THING, followed by his newest, DA 5 BLOODS. More importantly, we somehow found a way to include Tony's 15 year old voiceover demo reel. It's one heck of an episode. And that's the truth, Ruth.  

Do the 5 Bloods

The FoM Team spits out some verse by checking out Netflix's THE FORTY YEAR OLD VERSION, then pairing it with 1998's SLAM for Does It Hold Up. A hip-hop related Speed Round is then accompanied by a Cure for Covid that's full of heavily outdated MANDALORIAN chatter. Believe when we say FoM's no better than you/ Except when we rap so we guess it ain't true. 

The Forty Year Old Slam

It's a special, over-stuffed "Versus" episode as the boys pit two action icons against one another: Steven Seagal and Jean-Claude Van Damme. We examine HARD TO KILL and KICKBOXER, determining if either one holds up, then throw in a Who Wore It Better and an Artist's Loft segment before ultimately deciding our favorite actor-who-would-occasionally-injure-a-stuntperson. Heads up: there are some intermittent tech issues since the discussion was so action-packed that Tony's mic shit itself.
