In today’s episode, I start a new series on hyperpigmentation. I discuss exfoliating as a solution to hyperpigmentation. Hyperpigmentation is caused by excess melanin production in the skin as a result of skin trauma. One of the most common causes of hyperpigmentation is acne. Most of us have experienced acne at some point in our lives leaving us with undesirable scars. Exfoliating is one of the oldest skincare secrets and can be accomplished in several ways.
