During our lock down in NZ I had a chance via zoom (although the recording was not great) to  have the pleasure of speaking to Sharron Rose.   Sharron has so many words of wisdom we could have talked all day.  She is an author, film maker, teacher, practitioner and healer;  the list goes on.  We chat about courage to be who you are and how the world needs an energetic climate change, an inner one and how the world is changing and people are starting to be ready to tackle their emotions.With years and years of experience in teaching, researching, writing etc Sharron is an absolute gem and leaves the world a better place each day.Healing is the key and the media is fear, fear, fear this is the perfect time for people to take their healing into their own hands instead of perhaps getting a pill!

Negotiations are part of life.  Whether we are weaving in and out of traffic, walking through the mall, talking to people at work or toddlers at home; we have to negotiate on a daily basis.  This podcast talks about some tactics you can apply when shopping and is one of many I will do on the art of negotiation.  I also talk about how important it is to have the right sales people on the job.  Smiling is not weakness it is all part of a good negoation; the end goal is for all parties to feel they have achieved something but both are happy with the outcome.

Simple Negotiations

Today we talk about a simple basic example of corruption and how it can happen and the need for any type of organisation to talk about it openly. Perhaps you have found yourself in an awkward or serious situation where a person you work with or a friend acts inappropriately and does something when you are with them.  This has then naturally involved you and you are now entwined in their web.  The innocent party (you) is then forced to make a decision about whether to go along with the person who has started doing or has done something that is not professional, may be criminal or is against company or organisational guidelines, policies and procedures and/or ethically or morally wrong.  Usually it is detrimental to another human being eg. Bullying, assaulting, harassing, misleading, coercing or whatever the case maybe.  In this podcast I talk about how corruption can stem in an organisation and how at the time of someone’s action there is a reaction and your reaction from their action. Yes it gets complicated but there is no sitting on the fence here; because that in itself is an action. 

How Basic Corruption Cultivates

It's not often that many people get a chance to talk to an old timer; born in 1923.  Today I ask a few questions to one.  He recalls about how life used to be.  We all think that we have our own stresses in the period we live in but every generation has their own problems.  This generation also had many children, with one bread winner, and little automatic things  such as washing machines etc yet perhaps the past has got a lot to offer the future.  Meet Tom; a good year that one.

1923: A Few Words from An Old Timer

It is a big problem these days where loneliness takes over and before you know it you are being a victim of a scammer.  It is not only costly financially but above all emotionally.  Unfortunately it is an easy thing for professional individuals and circles of “monsters” to prey on those that they know are weak.  Just like in nature humans are prey; the hunted at times.  Half the time these people don’t even meet their alleged “lover”.  If things sound too good, need I say more....Talk to others and listen and report; before it’s too late.  Violence on women is still strong just in different ways.

There’s a struggle that happens internally for a lot of people.  It makes their temperatures increase and their anxiety heighten. .  It is when they are asked a question;  one that they already know the answer to but for some strange reason the answer that they want to say often comes out the opposite.  Yes this is about the biggest little word - No.

This is part 2 of Walking on the Wild Side which was inspired from when Ollie spent 8 days alone on Stewart Island.  We talk about the birds and do some stupid impersonations and do endeavour to make sure there is never a serious moment.  Make sure you have a kookaburra moment in life as sometimes everything gets too serious.  I didn&apos;t want to break the news to him but he really sounded more like a turkey.  The purpose of this short podcast is to smile and laugh and not take yourself too seriously as life really is too short.So bird lovers please forgive us; this is not serious; if in doubt laugh like a kookaburra at least once a day loud and proud!
