Jesus asks, "Do you love me more than these? (family, money, status, job, things, security, etc.). Jesus wants us to love Him because He first loved us. We begin to change when we begin to love Jesus more than these things.

When Jesus talks about taking the cup and drinking it, He is talking about taking the sins of the world, yours and mine and drinking it to save us from our sins. If you don' accept that Jesus took the wrath in your place, you will receive God's wrath.

When we have true faith we realize that we can't grasp a hold of God, only He can grasp a hold of us. It's not about having a strong faith, but having a strong Savior. When promises are broken in your life; trust the one who has overcome.

Would you be ready and prepared for a major shift in your life? Jesus was preparing His disciples for the time He would be leaving them and sending the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit would come to expose and convict us of our sin, and give us eternal life. How is the Holy Spirit working in your life?

The world sees loves as how desirable something is and how it makes me feel. God is our example of love. God commands us to love and Jesus didn't love us because we're lovable. A lack of love towards God's people shows a lack of love for God. We are to love each other.

What owns you? Who owns you? Jesus purchased us with a price and is our owner if we know him. You can't claim to know God and not believe in Jesus. We are Jesus' possession and are valuable. He won't let something steal us. Is Jesus the Lord of your life?

God is the shepherd and His people are the sheep. Do you hear His voice when He calls and follow Him in the direction He is taking you?

Do I live my life for Jesus Christ or do I live with Him? Do I give God praise and glory or do I expect Him to praise me and give me glory? Don't look for the reason that bad things have happened in your life. Maybe God caused them so that He would receive praise and glory.

Are you willing to be dishonored for following Jesus? When we honor God, we may be dishonored for doing it. The chief purpose of man is to glorify God and enjoy Him forever. We need to bring glory to God in whatever we do. Are you willing to count the cost?

How do you find real freedom and who do you belong to? You can't follow Jesus and be called His follower if you aren't holding to His teachings. You can't know His teachings if you don't know the Word and practice it. Your actions indicate who you really belong to.
