I highly recommend this book. It might help explain why we our only choices for president might be a white nationalist and a Socialist.Ezra Klein does a great job examining why our politics is so extreme and there is nobody in the moderate, compromising middle. As he says, and I agree, Most Americans today associate themselves with various tribes – based on their ethnicity, religion, or prejudices -- rather than being real Americans first.He concludes the book with some solutions that rely on many Americans to change their thinking.
