 What is faith? Hebrews 12:2 says that Jesus is the Author of it! So then Jesus gives us faith that is the assurance (title deed, confirmation) of things He spoke of in the previous 10 Chapters of Hebrews. He enables us to hope as if things are divinely guaranteed (and they are), and says God's Word is the evidence of things not seen, even the conviction of their reality. Then, this same faith comprehends as fact what cannot be experienced by the physical senses!! I'm about to get EXCITED!!

How To Live By Faith In Christ (Crisis)!

 Heb 10:19 And so, dear brothers, now we may walk right into the very Holy of Holies, where God is, because of the blood of Jesus. 20 This is the fresh, new, life-giving way that Christ has opened up for us by tearing the curtain—his human body—to let us into the holy presence of God. 21 And since this great High Priest of ours rules over God’s household, 22 let us go right in to God himself, with true hearts fully trusting him to receive us because we have been sprinkled with Christ’s blood to make us clean and because our bodies have been washed with pure water. 23 Now we can look forward to the salvation God has promised us.  Christ has provided His perfect life for your sin and mine! So God is not mad at you and therefore would not do anything to harm you! But it is a free gift that you and I must accept. Jesus died Once for all and now All need to be for One

 We are to live our life trusting in Christ, and giving our heart to Him. Day after day, night after night, the Holy Spirit has been pleading with us to respond in faith to His last-day message. And we (not God) leave the impression that having received these truths, the rest of life is up to us. Not so! The same faith that saves us, the same faith that carries us, is the same faith that enables us to make the journey from earth to heaven! That’s why the Bible says, “The just will live by his faith” (Habakkuk 2:4) and the gospel reveals a righteousness that is “by faith leading to more faith” (Romans 1:17). The whole Christian life is a life of faith! So what can Covid-19 do to me!!!

Does your church service move you to live a life that's pleasing to God? Or does it ONLY make you feel good, but leaves you still feeling GUILTY? "Christ was a perfect sacrifice. He will clean your heart from useless acts of worship. Then you will serve the living God as a living sacrifice!" -Heb 9:14(paraphrase)

Conform to the Pattern! Our conscience is the ONLY thing that bears witness to rather we are who we say we are! As we hold true to the fact that we DON'T measure up, the guilt weighs us down and causes discouragement. But God says, "I have given you my Son to stand in your place!" He measures up! He meets the challenge and gives you the victory!! Even the victory of a clear conscience! So Conform to the Pattern of trusting that Christ has given you the victory!

 One terrifying day, Howard Rutledge’s plane was shot down over Vietnam. He managed to parachute out but landed in a village where he was beaten, stripped, and thrown into prison. In a Vietcong prison he discovered how important times of reflection can be. We live in a world where it's easy to become preoccupied with family and career. But what about God? Does He have to allow you to be put behind bars, locked up in a cage, in order to get your attention!? He has designed an elaborate dwelling (temple) for you to enjoy with Him. Are you interested? Or are you preoccupied with your problems?

Having pointed out the futility of trying to be good and save yourself (Old Covenant), Paul turns to the New Covenant and enumerates four provisions Christ provides to guarantee our victory!

Hebrews 8:1-13Now this is the main point, we have a High Priest, an advocate, a friend, a protector and provider, seated in the Heavenly Sanctuary! This means that He’s outside of our physical boundaries, outside of our limitations and fears! We have a God that is working in the unseen realm. So no matter what the enemy is plotting against you, God is working it out for your good because He operates in the unseen realm!! “We have such a High Priest, who is seated (in the Seat of Power) at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens”! -Heb 8:1

 When Abraham paid tithe to Melchisedec who was the priest of the Most High God, he was saying, “The One you represent, the One most high, has the right of ownership over everything that I have.” And without God, I could never have won the victory.” The odds were against him. He could never have made it. Is that your testimony? The king of Sodom was much stronger than Abraham’s army, and yet he was defeated. So Abraham is saying, “Everything I own is the Lord’s. Even my life! I’m giving you a tenth as a symbol of my confession that you have the words of life and God’s spirit rest upon you. Put your trust in God and everything is going to be alright! 

It's Gonna Be Alright!

Our anchor is like every other, when it's in use it's out of sight. What is your anchor? Where is your hope? Do you believe because things are going well with you? And you have need of nothing? Well, that's not believing at all. Money, friends, and family will fail you! But in the Word of God, you have an anchor! He will be steadfast and unmovable when your world is falling apart. Let Jesus be your Anchor!
