After 50 years of heartache in the playoffs, the Kansas City Chiefs are finally World Champs once again.  The 49ers looked like they might win Super Bowl 54, but Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs defense had something else in mind.  I’ve pinched myself several times to make sure this wasn’t a dream. The Chiefs are Champs.  All of this and more as Moser and I talk about all things Super Bowl 54 on the “We Are the Champions” episode 11 of the Kansas City Sportscast.

Chiefs Kingdom is headed to the Superbowl in Miami. After 50 years of failing… the Chiefs make it back to the biggest game on Earth for the first time since SB4.   After going down 10 to the Titans twice in the first half of the AFC Championship, we once again came back to lead at the half.  The KC defense found a way to stop Derrick Henry, the Titans’ larger-faster-and-stronger-than-Jim-Brown, running back completely in the second half.  The Chiefs have won the Lamar Hunt trophy for the first time ever. The Chiefs go down 24-0 and in the second quarter score 4 touchdowns to lead at half! That’s the first time in NFL history that’s been done.  Not playoff history. It’s 100 year NFL history. We talk mostly about the Chiefs this episode.
