Episode 84 - Girls Just Want to Have Fun - Ladywhips Baseball

In which the Ladywhips discover one thing even tighter than McGowan’s lockdown; Molly is continually surprised; Beckie is continually frustrated; Ciara is really excited; Zoe’s signal is missed; there is much discussion about Vicky’s butt muscles; Anneliese gets a present; Molly drop steps and it costs her; Steph does not and it costs her too; Emma exchanges firm words; Trav does not miss; Meg shows off her stretch; Renae plays second like a first baseman, Vicky is very disciplined, Ciara is not; Steph is then has a rush of nerves; Richelle is desperately unlucky; Anneliese is desperately lucky; and the Ladywhips make it home before lockdown.

Call To The Legend - Eyvette Prosper - Episode 82 - Ladywhips Baseball

In which it is really hot; Beckie has no sleep but has a puppy & still gets off the mound very quickly; Trav has hot hands; Steph forgets to put hers up; Richelle has no luck while Emma has enough; Zoe wants the extra bases; Ciara is adventurous and shows a clean pair of heals; Zoe is literally everywhere; Ella breaks a drought; Zoe uses her mum voice; Beckie is too tired to watch pitches; Steph is proud of learning to slide & is judged silently; Ella is really really excited: Zoe ignores runners to stare her disappointment; however the Ladywhips finish it in the style they started.

In which Simone plays her 100th game for the club, and both teams are much in awe!

Episode 80 - The Centurion - Ladywhips v Wanneroo (10/1/21)

In which training pays off; Ciara does a little celebrating; but still not as much as the infield; Renae insists on stealing but is grateful for being able to catch her breath; Zoe does a lot of pondering just how long she has been doing this; Vette is back where she needs to be; Joe sits in the wrong spot but the team is very grateful; Emma is intimidating; Beckie has rhythm throughout; clearly because their parents are watching; Molly mistakenly beats herself up; Simone is repeatedly unlucky; so is Zoe but not as much; Meg shows some versatility; Vicky keeps showing patience; Richelle can’t get it out of the infield; while Trav can’t keep it out of the air; and Anneliese unfortunately just misses.

Episode 79 - A Game Of Inches - Ladywhips v Willetton (20/12/20

I’m which much Mexican food is eaten; the relative merits of the judgment of American psychologists is debated; Anneliese has another hangover; Zoe’s kitten does not get out nor get stepped on; Ciara demonstrates her best Jesus; Steph celebrates with the ball; Beckie may not know where to stand but endeavours to stand still as little as possible; there is a lot of dessert; Simone finally gets out; Trav’s hole is found; indecisive leads are found out; Vette springs from the scorers’ box; Emma does some apologising; but our pants are finally kept on.

Episode 78 - It’s Not A Forever Thing - Ladywhips v Carine (13/12/20)

In which Anneliese discovers the best hangover cure; Ciara is pretty chill; Steph is not really; Molly definitely isn’t; Zoe makes like a rock; Beckie is disappointed in the number of strikeouts; Renae can’t keep the grin off her face; Ella shows off her arm; Vicky is the steadiest; Meg is robbed again; Steph says hello to the ball: Simone sees little to like; nor does Teagan; Ella shows off to her Mum; Beckie is more consistent with the bat; Richelle does a lot of running; while Anneliese walks it off.

Walk-Off In Memoriam - Episode 77 - Ladywhips v Kalamunda (6/12/20)

In which Ella gets a fright; Ciara is cat-like; Zoe remembers her glasses before the game starts; Trav does some unsuccessful milking; Emma is mean to children; Rose reels in the years; Ella brings her dancing feet; Steph is incredibly nervous; Anneliese is very resigned; Rose demonstrates that flat shoes are not essential; Trav mistakes Renae for Meg; Beckie thinks too much; she unfortunately is no orphan; Emma unsuccessfully relies on third thoughts; Zoe says sorry a lot; Vette apologises before the game starts; And Richelle wishes she hadn’t been locked out

Pass In Time - Episode 76 - Ladywhips v Rockingham (29/11/20)

In which Beckie keeps experimenting; Emma is a trooper for 5 minutes; Simone has enough of the heat; Shaun loses an out; Richelle keeps having to run; Meg is robbed; Vicky finally gets a play; Trav gets lucky and gets dirty; Renae can’t get out; neither can Simone still; nor can Molly; Beckie can’t get enough strikeouts; There is much discussion of toilet training; Ben can’t bend too far; Beckie doesn’t mind; Zoe keeps apologising, & Ciara shows the benefit of cages.

What Does This Grip Do? - Episode 75 - Ladywhips v Kalamunda (22/11/20)

In which Ella displays absolutely positively most definitely no fear (not even a little bit); Molly makes good decisions; Trav is relaxed; Zoe eventually decides she needs glasses; Meg does her best Roy Hobbs; Vette attempts her best Kirk Gibson; Ella learns on the job; Richelle wishes she could run; Vicky wishes she’d stayed on the field for one more innings; Anneliese wants the ball; Ciara successfully protects a very very short fence; and the beers at the Otherside are delicious.

No Fear - Episode 74 - Ladywhips V Melville (15/11/20

In which the lead is not big enough for Molly; Simone decides to wait for the ball to do its thing; Emma spends a lot of time visiting the infield; Beckie tries something very new; Richelle very briefly looks angry; Vette pines; Zoe is quicker this week; Teagan has a rehab buddy; Renae is fearless and Molly is reliable.

Casualty - Episode 73 - Ladywhips v Rockingham (8/11/20)

In which it rains; a lot; in fact it never stops raining; there is no mound; literally; twice; Anneliese though makes lots of adjustments; Emma lets her locks go free; Averil desperately needs to pee; Renae belts a rock a very long way; Rose regrets her choice a little & elects to no longer be called young; Vette is stoic; Molly lifts weights while fielding; Teagan finally registers; Richelle beats it out; Zoe shows no fear; John freezes his hands off; Andrew umpires in quarantine; but Shaun unfortunately had to protect the lucky glitter pink; and it never ever ever lets up with the rain!

Summer Rain - Episode 72 - Ladywhips v Willetton (1/11/20)

In which no-one strikes out, Beckie wants the ball, Averil has no fear, Molly’s feet don’t wake up, but Zoe’s feet do, Rose’s muscle memory returns quickly, Simone looks comfortable again in blue, Richelle is relieved to come out of the field, Trav announces that she doesn’t like running, & Lisa is quick-witted.

In which the season that was is retold, memories are rekindled, gifts are given, trophies are pronounced, joy is celebrated and a genuinely lovely group of women prepare to do it again.
