Dan talked about traveling with the team as a beat writer in the 1980's, the relationships he developed with the players, coaches and front office executives, as well as the difficulty that comes along with the job when things aren't going that well with the team. You'll hear about some never before told stories including how Larry Bird dealt with Dan after he reported on Larry's bar fight during the playoffs in 1985.The guys also discussed which of the Celtics team they'd like to take with them on a cross country road trip. Lobel, Lynchie and Hank pay tribute to the late, great sportscaster Bob Neumeier, who passed away at the age of 70 over the weekend. Neumy was a popular, well respected tv reporter and anchor at WBZ TV, Channel 4, was a radio talk show host on WEEI, called Boston Bruins and Hartford Whalers games on the radio and was a horse racing commentator on NBC. The guys paid tribute with some funny and poignant stories about Neumy, who worked alongside Bob Lobel for two decades.The guys also talked about the magnificence of Tom Brady, the Patriots big win over the Jets and the Red Sox unlikely run to the American League Championship Series.
