Today’s guest is a walking, talking miracle! Not only did she survive a massive stroke and fully recover, but because she is also a Harvard-trained neuroscientist, she is able to explain what happened in her brain, and why ALL brains are miraculous   Last week I reviewed Dr. Jill Bolte-Taylor’s latest book, Whole Brain Living. If you’re a highly sensitive soul, you are also probably a natural ‘giver.’ Helping people makes you feel good, and your sensitivity makes it easy for you to know what they need. But how do you know if you’re giving too much? What are the signs?   In this episode, I share the pros and cons of being a giver, and how being out of balance with receiving sets you up to draw people who are ‘takers,’ leaving you depleted and resentful!   I’ll also share a few simple things you can do to get you back in the flow of giving and receiving instead of giving and resenting!   Key learnings: Highly sensitive people often know how others are feeling and can naturally give in a way that is helpful. But if you are giving to a ‘taker’ you will feel depleted and resentful. Takers will not set any boundaries with your giving. They aren’t wired that way. YOU must be the one to draw the line. The big red flag is resentment. If you feel resentful, you have given too much. When you feel resentful, stop, and ask yourself what you really want to do. Often, we give from a sense of obligation or needing to be liked. The is not true giving.   “How do you know if you are giving too much? You feel resentful. If you are a fan of saints and you love reading sacred stories, you will LOVE this book!   Daughters of the Goddess: The Women Saints of India by Linda Johnsen is an oasis in the often male dominated field of books about spiritual teachers from India. Although this book was first published in 1994, four of the six women saints portrayed are still alive and well and sharing their unique wisdom!   In this episode, I will share how I discovered this book, and how you can easily connect with several of these powerful women saints. I will also read a few excerpts from the book, which chronicles the author’s own time with each of these saints and offers a rare glimpse into their daily lives.   Have you ever spent time with a saint?   Did you know that today is the full moon eclipse? Eclipses are very special times, as they magnify the energy of the moon, with results that can last up to six months!!    Since the full moon is an ideal time to do forgiveness work, in this week’s episode, I will lead you through a guided meditation with the Angel of Forgiveness, to help you create the space within your heart to receive your miracle.   Mother Mary has said that forgiveness is the doorway to miracles, which is why I encourage to practice this meditation as often as you can.  I won’t tell you much more than that, as I want you to experience the meditation for yourself.    I would LOVE to hear about your experience with this meditation, and what you received from doing it.

Full Moon Forgiveness Meditation

You may remember this week’s guests as the authors of The Way of the Rose: the Radical Path of the Divine Feminine Hidden in the Rosary. They were guests last year in episode 26, and I am so thrilled to continue the conversation with them this week!   Since publishing their book, they have created a vibrant online community that encourages people to pray to “our Lady” by any name and form they choose, and a big piece of that is praying the 54-Day Rosary Novena.   What is a novena? It’s a nine-day period of prayer, and as you will soon discover, the number nine is very connected with the Divine Feminine.   In this episode, you will discover the ancient origins of novenas, why Mother Mary recommends saying a novena for fifty-four days, and why ‘praying for your heart’s desire’ is not just good for you, it’s good for the planet!   Have you ever said a novena? The practice goes back to ancient times and is not just a Catholic practice. The 54 Day Novena is a practice of praying in petition for 27 days, and then praying in thanks for 27 days, whether you have received the answer to your prayer or not. Great miracles have occurred by doing this type of novena. The practice of praying for your heart’s desire can heal the world. The rosary is proof against the toxicity of the culture, because if we know what it is that we truly want, the culture does not have that much power over us. Praying for Your Heart’s Desire with Perdita Finn & Clark Strand

In this ‘month of miracles’ I have a great book to share with you to help you magnify YOUR miracles. The Great Apparitions of Mary: An examination of twenty-two Supranormal Appearances by Ingo Swann is the perfect book for this month   Unlike other books about apparitions which are more religiously based (and biased), this book reads like a historical mystery thriller!   In this episode, I will share some fascinating apparition facts, such as why there is a ‘dry period’ of no apparitions from 1531-1830 and will also share a very detailed description of the ‘miracle of the sun’ at the final Fatima apparition in 1917 that will make you feel like you were there!    And remember to tune in next week when my returning guests will be authors Perdita Finn and Clark Strand, who have shared their apparition of Our Lady of Woodstock with the world.   Key learnings:   The great apparitions of Mother Mary go back to the 2nd century, but the most recent ones were recorded beginning in 1531 in Mexico. Then there is a 299 year ‘dry period’ which happens to correspond to the Inquisition. Was She not appearing, or was it not safe to report it? Rather than try to convince you, the author is examining the history of these apparitions and puts them in a context not usually known. It’s fascinating to read these stories, which is told as a reporter might tell them. The Fatima apparition story is shared from pages 105-118 and is a riveting account of the supranormal ‘miracle of the sun’ which occurred on October 13, 1917. Would you love some food for your soul? Check out this month’s book, Anam Cara: A book of Celtic Wisdom by John O’Donohue.  A combination of philosophy, prayers, poems and Celtic wisdom, Anam Cara will comfort your heart and nourish your spirit.   Although you may try to read this book quickly, I recommend that you do what I do; read it slowly, and over time, to digest and absorb its wisdom.   In this episode, I will share what ‘anam cara’ means, and how it is the perfect metaphor for your relationship with the Divine Presence. I will also share two prayer poems that are rich with blessings to inspire you. My intention is that this book and its wisdom touch your heart and help you feel the Divine Presence within yourself.   What do you do to nourish your soul? In the early Celtic church it referred to someone who acted as a teacher, companion or spiritual guide. On page 131 there is a beautiful poem to bless the day called “The Deer’s Cry.” Celtic Spirituality has a great sense of the significance of each day, and how the new day is sacred. Imagine waking up and feeling that just the act of awakening was a gift!      On page 198 is the Blessing for Old Age, but it’s really a blessing for all of us.
