INGREDIENTS: - 4 Cups Flour - 2 tablespoons Salt - 2/3 Cup Melted Butter - 4/3 Cups Milk WHAT YOU'LL NEED: - Kitchen Aid (mixer) - Tablespoon measuring spoon - 1/3 Cup Measuring Cup - Bowl - Knife (maybe fork as well) - Kitchen Brush - Large Cookie Sheet - Oven - Hot Pad or Oven Mit HOW TO: - Preheat Oven to 450ºF - Using a kitchen aid; mix flour and salt together - Take two full sticks of butter (usually containing 1/2 cup per stick; 1/3 is usually 5 1/2 tbsp [the small marks], so you usually use 1 full stick and 3 of the second) - Cut 3 tbsp (3 small marks on the stick of butter) - Put 1 full stick plus the 3 tbsps from the second into a bowl - Set aside the remaining butter left over (you'll need this for the butter honey glaze later) - Melt butter in microwave or on the stove. - Add in milk - Mix until "doughy" - Kneed Dough - Using your hands; tear in half, then again, and again - Then tear in half twice again until you have 8 evenly sized balls of dough total - Flatted onto a large cookie sheet (no oil, spray, or coating needed) - Melt remaining Butter and a generous dollop of honey in bowl - Using a kitchen brush, spread the honey butter glaze onto flattened dough - Bake for 8 minutes at 450ºF (most ovens are too small to fit both cookie sheets onto a single oven rack, so you'll need to put one on the upper rack and the second on the one below) - Switch the cookie sheets on the oven racks (i.e. take the one on top and put it on the bottom, and vice versa - this will help the bread cook more evenly, rather than the top one being more crispy and the bottom bread being "doughy" - Take out of oven, let sit for 5 minutes - Place onto towel covered plate and serve Enjoy!

This is the last sermon to finish out the gospel account of Mark and Alan's last sermon as Interim Pastor here at MCBC. This last message covers the trial before Pilate, the crucifixion, death, burial, resurrection, and commission of Jesus. This is the fundamental and foundational message of the gospel and is of UTTER importance in the life of God's Saints and the message of the gospel we give to the world to repent and believe for the forgiveness of sins, the filling of the Spirit, and eternal life everlasting.

March 18 - Mark 15-16

We're switching up our form for these last weeks that Alan is here. Instead of investigating the details of the bark on the trees (investigating verse by verse), we are pulling back to discover the landscape (chapter by chapter) as we read about the last week of Jesus' life from the triumphal entry to the resurrection. This week we heard about Jesus healing the blind Bartimaeus, the triumphal entry, the "Markan sandwich" illustration of the Fig Tree with Jesus cleansing the temple, the discussion about the resurrection with the Sadducees, the greatest commandment, Jesus' rebuke of the scribes, and finished up with the poor widow's giving all she had.

March 4 - Mark 10:46-12

When we think of Pastors leading churches, there are a LOT of things it makes us assume, think, feel, and believe about how the Church is led. Paul teaches us to love, serve, honor, and obey our leaders in the Church. How do we honor those who serve well and what do we do with those who don't? How do we affirm and honor those who shepherd the flock of God well and what do we do with those who don't?

In our time together this morning, we heard from the scripture about the condemnation of the old vineyard that God planted and it did not yield good fruit, as compared to the true vine, Jesus Christ, and our place within and dwelling within this vine. And because we are connected to the vine, we are walking rivers of living water, the Holy Spirit bubbling up from within us and flowing out to others.
