Starring a young, pre-Presidential, Robert Redford as a CIA agent who specializes in reading books to see if the dorks are up to anything yet. Well, I guess they are because before you can say boo a whole office of nice CIA people are killed for doing nothing more than trying to keep America and all her foreign oil safe for future generations. This leads the CIA agent to do literally the only thing you can do in this situation: kidnap the most attractive woman in a sporting goods store and begin to use your reading skills to get her to fall in love with you while you figure out this other thing with the spies and the getting shot at.Remember that guy that lived in the tree on Game of Thrones who was also briefly in the beginning of the least bad recent Star War? That guy is in this movie and he is even better than when he was the tree or the old tent guy that got got by big daddy baby vader.Max von Sydow. That&apos;s the guy&apos;s name but I was playing it cool because I thought maybe you wouldn&apos;t know. "She&apos;ll always be a Princes to me." That guy. Movie of the Year: 1975ShampooMovie of the Year discusses 1975&apos;s Shampoo!Shampoo is one of those movies they only made for a brief period in the 70s where people just sort of mill around in luxury and go through the motions of decadent life while never really getting to enjoy any of that decadence. In it Warren Beatty plays hair-stylist and "stick man" George, who bounces between his romantic entanglements with the whip-crack ricochet one might more expect to see in 1975 bonus episode subject, Tommy. Which is to say, this man is pinballing between woman, and that&apos;s about all he has time for apparently. And so for a movie about a hair stylist, there isn&apos;t actually that much hair styling. Speaking of the hair, it is like the collars: as big as they could get, baby. With all this going for it, how will we be able to pick between this movie and all the other ultra-eligible movies?That&apos;s a great question and I couldn&apos;t be more happy that you asked.To make this awful choice, we did what we always do and made the movies fight it out to see which was the most deserving of our love. Host Ryan, along with Taste Buds Greg and Van, dive into the movie that kicked off the Australian New Wave of the 1970&apos;s. And this movie is Australian as fudge...sort of. The movie tells the story of a small girl&apos;s prep school, who take a titular picnic to a titular Hanging Rock. After some good old-fashioned outbackin&apos;, three students and a teacher mysteriously disappear. Will this be an issue for the rest of the school? You bet!So it&apos;s very Australian, because it shows how the outdoors is dangerous, but it also doesn&apos;t feel Australian, because of its languid pacing and severe lack of dudes playing fire guitars on driving cars. Australia: land of many things. Also, none of the picnickers discuss Fosters, which is Australian for beer, so how Australian can the movie really be, anyway?The Taste Buds try to crack the movie open like a can of the aforementioned Fosters (Australian for beer) by trying to get down to what director Peter Weir was really doing here. What was he trying to say by focusing on schoolgirls at the turn of the century? They also discuss the sexiness - or lack thereof - of the movie. The girls are being kept from sex and sexy thoughts in every conceivable way. Is this really a good idea? Society has never really been able to trick young girls into completely forgetting about the concept of sex...though it might work for this school. Finally, this Weir f#$@er doesn&apos;t even explain where the girls went! Is that something that keeps it from being great?
