In episode 14, we talk about Lynn's snow skiing experience and how she froze up on the top of a mountain. We walk through what it took to get her back from fear to calm and grounded again. We all deal with things that terrify us, it's important to know what YOU need to do to get yourself grounded again.

Using the same words and saying them louder does not always work when you are giving instructions. In this episode, we talk about the day when Lynn (the mother) was trying to give instructions to Jen (the daughter) and Lynn just kept saying the same words, only she just continued to get louder. How often do we find ourselves not able to take a step back and give simple instructions?

We bicker, we argue, but over our series of the Malibu Open Interviews, we had a couple of big blow outs. The first one was Jen just got frustrated and needlessly popped off at Lynn and we had to sit in some uncomfortable feelings as we sorted through why Jen was so upset. The second was over an idea that Jen didn't set context for and Lynn leapt to the wrong conclusions while Jen yelled and walked away.

Austin was supposed to go to the Malibu Open, he trained incredibly hard for the event, and shortly before the Open happened, he hurt his back. Listen to how he deals with being disappointed and upset about not getting to go and how he learned to accept the disappointment. He also talks about his business and how he sees what happens when people are supporting each other versus competing against each other.

We talk to him about what you need to do to be able to let go and manage from a far and how it is to let go of the perfectionist tendencies in order to design your life the way you want to and be able to do the things you want to do. Also, we don't always perform to our highest abilities and how do we manage ourselves when we fall short of what we know we are capable of doing.

We went the the 2017 Malibu open hosted at Trophy Lakes in Johns Island, SC. We had an amazing time and caught up we a few amazing skiiers. April Coble Eller is the first interview. We discussed what it's like to be in business with family and how she doesn't demand respect from her employees, but she does ask them to be polite. She reminds us that respect is earned, but you can ask people to be polite.

In this episode, we talk about giving resources and how you don't know what you don't know. We also talk about the huge beetle and how it relates to irrational fear. We don't condemn each others irrational fear...but we sure do give each other a hard time!

In this second episode, we go into a little detail about what it was like for us to post our first episode, even though we felt like we may not be ready and the noise in our heads that came along with that. Also, we discuss one of our more trying and emotional days we had and how we got through that day without killing each other

We decided to roll the first episode out anyways and we talk a little about what the show is going to be about and a sample of the situations, such as the #momface situations we get ourselves into and how we get out of them.

We learn a lot about working together and are sharing our insights with others as the things we go through are the same things people go through in their own work lives, ours just happened to be magnified.
