If so, what measures need to be taken to promote awareness regarding concussion protocols? I interview a concussion specialist, Doctor Mansi Vakil, the licensed author of Concussion and Sports. Dr. Mansi Vakil's goal is to spread awareness about how to properly assess concussions, treatment and how to minimize the risk of concussions. Dr. Vakil is actively working on devising a Return to play protocol specific to athletes playing football. This protocol/ treatment will minimize the risk of secondary and sub-concussive symptoms.
