BAYTOWN - Roughly around 10:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 12, 2020, Baytown Fire Companies responded to the 1200 Block of Missouri Street at the Marina Club Apartments, in reference to a structure fire. The complainant was evacuating they told dispatch "no flames were seen but had some smoke." When engine two arrive on the scene, nothing was showing, and disregarded all other fire companies that were on the firebox. Senate Democrats to boycott Barrett’s Judiciary Committee vote Thursday

A portion of the City of Baytown’s Goose Creek Trail will be temporarily closed in the vicinity of the Animal Services and Adoption Shelter, at 705 N. Robert Lanier Drive due to the start of construction of the new facility. The trail located in this area will be closed from Monday October 19, 2020 through late spring 2021.  The decision to close this part of the trail was made for safety purposes, due to heavy equipment and major construction activity requiring a high measure of precaution.
