27 - The Aftermath of Trauma....

24 - It came, she left, I broke, but God....

Shawn was robbed, brutally beaten and shot in the head at point blank range, as the gunman tried to shoot Shawn in the head for the second time Shawn remembered his great grandmother’s words and cried out “save me Jesus”, causing the gun to jam on the second shot. Shortly after rehabilitation and having a bullet removed from his skull (a centimeter from his brain) Shawn received Christ in his life and has been running for the Lord ever since (Proverbs 22:6). 23 - How I Healed After Trying to Be Killed

Suicide... The unspoken pain that leads to this final decision and all the relational wreckage it creates, is imaginable. Yet, this occurs sadly every single day all around this globe. Why, is this ever an option? Who would actually go through with this selfish and senseless thought? Is it possible to heal after an explainable loss like this? These amongst many are real questions families face when suicide snatches the life of loved ones. How about when it also cost other people their lives. Typing this is as painful as you might feel right now from that unthinkable thought. I could list a thousand statistics and news headlines, but I have something more powerful. We have a brave woman who is courageous enough to share her journey from agony to victory. Lory did not have to imagine this, it was her reality when in just one day she lost her daughter and two grandkids to suicide. The power, peace, faith, hope, and grace she speaks from is admirable. 18 - How Striving Robbed Me of My Identity

Surgery... While in most cases when faced with this decision it is based out necessity. There are always risks and changes as a result of an invasive treatment like this.. But just imagine, finding yourself in the situation that your only child at two-months-old is required to undergo one of the most dangerous types of surgery? How would, How could, process this? Elizabeth, lived this moment by moment for years. She chose to be a guest to use her story to strengthen families walking through a medical crisis. LaRay continued singing in church, also sang for her high school and at local community events. Currently at the ripe age of 31, LaRay is not only enrolled in college taking a double major: cosmetology and music. she is very involved in church, in her community and works with kids at the “Young Adult Project” (YAP). A recreation center she has roots in, that has supported her career from the start. Her biggest supporter of all is her 5-year-old niece (Poopy) who sings along with all her songs while she practices. LaRay's inspirations start at home and go on to include Beyonce, Destiny’s Child, Mariah Carey, Regina Bell, Anita Baker and many others. She is motivated and determined.
