It’s easy to do the right thing when there isn’t much risk of a consequence.  That does not take courage. It’s easy to mouth the right words in private, and to say what you “would do” if push came to shove. What’s hard is to walk the walk. What is courageous is doing the right thing, regardless of the consequences.  This is the very definition of integrity. What is noble is standing firm in the face of a tidal wave of public pressure, knowing full well that the wave will wash away your career. The test of your character is measured by the pressure you can withstand to abandon it. It takes awareness to recognize evil.  It takes courage to stand against it at all costs. Standing up for your rights is the duty of every freedom loving person. Standing up for your rights is the highest, and best form of saying “Thank you for your service” to every soldier, sailor, and airman who fought, died, or was wounded for the sake of FREEDOM. Standing strong for your rights honors those who died for them. For some people, it’s easy to submit to the will of lesser people.  For Heroes like you, it’s impossible. Lions do not submit to the will of the greedy,  power hungry hyena’s. Ep# 136 Why we argue, and the antidote to conflict

Stigma is a major barrier to seeking help.  Stigma is created through misunderstanding what PTS Injuries are,  and their negative impact on a person's quality of life. Stigma fuels a sense of shame in those who are injured, and this misplaced shame increases reluctance to ask for help and / or support for PTS Injuries.  Further, the stigma often creates an inability to acknowledge or accept that the person is in fact injured. Without first acknowledging the injury, the suffering will continue in silence, often with catastrophic consequences on the life of the injured person.
