Former President Donald Trump’s sold the leases in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR) oil leases in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge to expand fossil fuel development in the United States. Then reported by, NBC news,  On June 1, 2021, The Biden administration suspended oil and gas leases in Alaska’s Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, reversing a drilling program approved by the Trump administration and reviving a political fight over a remote region that is home to polar bears and other wildlife — and a rich reserve of oil. Unfortunately, the good news did not last long.According to WSJ, A federal judge in Louisiana issued a preliminary injunction blocking the Biden administration from pausing new oil and gas leases on federal land.Judge Terry A.
