This week we explore common habits that stem from certain fears. Fear of better options, choice anxiety, and the fear of commitment manifest themselves in patterns of behavior that work against God's promise of transformation and renewal. Jesus calls us into a different way of life that enables us to drop these patterns become transformed into His likeness.

2. CONFORMED or TRANSFORMED: Dropping Patterns of FOBO

We are constantly and aggressively being shaped by the world. We all have patterns and habits in us that are not a result of Christian discipleship but rather being discipled by our culture. Although many of us, on a logical level, believe in God's transforming power, we still trip over the same sins. These patterns and habits act as an anti-renewal machine within us and the church. What will it take for us to "not be conformed to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of the mind" (Romans 12:2)?
