Expectation vs Reality

This week I chat with Luis Payne, Artistic Director of Hairroin NYC.  We take a deep look at what separates a GOOD stylist from a GREAT one, and discuss ways in which we can do better. This is one of the most telling questions on our interview sheet-  “What do you think sets a GREAT stylist apart from the good ones”.  Luis has interviewed dozens of stylists during his 13 years at Hairroin and has some great insight into this question. Overall GREAT is not a destination but part of your journey. Enjoy the ride and make friends along the way. Be quick to recognize things holding you back and make adjustments where necessary. We can't always be 100% on fire all the time but the fact you take the time to listen to this means you care, and that's the most important step! Keep kicking ass and investing in yourself.
