Echamos un primer vistazo a las diferentes etapas del Tour de Francia del próximo año que se anunciaron hoy en París y analizamos las dificultades y desafíos de la ruta. El Tour 2022 Masculino comienza en Copenhague y permanece en Dinamarca durante las primeras 3 etapas, antes de viajar al norte de Francia. La primera semana será principalmente llana pero muy estresante, especialmente con el regreso de los adoquines en la etapa 5. En la etapa 7 tendremos la primera prueba real para los grandes favoritos con el final en La Planche des Belles Filles. Luego es hacia los Alpes con el regreso de la famosa subida del Alpe d’Huez y de allí a los Pirineos con la tremenda subida de Hautacam. La última gran prueba será la contrarreloj individual de 40 km del penúltimo día antes de que el pelotón entre finalmente en París. En definitiva, un recorrido muy equilibrado pero bastante duro que sin duda lo ganará el ciclista más fuerte con un equipo muy sólido. El Tour de Francia femenino está de vuelta y ya era hora. Las 8 etapas serán disputadas por 22 equipos, y comenzará en París el 24 de julio del próximo año. Después de algunas etapas llanas, la carrera abordará una etapa difícil sobre caminos de grava blanca, luego algunas etapas más onduladas antes de terminar con dos etapas de montaña reales en las montañas de los Vosgos, con un final muy duro y espectacular de la carrera en la famosa Planche des Belles Filles. La gran pregunta: ¿Quién puede desafiar e intentar vencer a la gran favorita, Annemiek Vanvleuten? Lo sabremos a finales de julio.

La Movida : anuncio de la ruta del Tour de Francia 2022 Hombres y Mujeres

The Tour de France for women is back, and it was about time. We had the chance to see this new course over 8 stages which will be contested by 22 teams, and what a nice competition it will be starting in Paris on the 24th of July next year. After some flat stages, the race will tackle a difficult stage over white gravel roads, then some hillier stages before ending with two real mountain stages in the mountains of the Vosges, with a very hard and spectacular finish of the race on the famous Planche des Belles Filles. The big question: Who can challenge and try to beat the big favorite, Annemiek Vanvleuten? We will find out at the end of July.

The Move: 2022 Tour de Femmes Course Preview

We take a first glimpse at the different stages of next year’s Tour de France which were announced yesterday in Paris and analyze the difficulties and challenges of the route. The Tour 2022 starts in Copenhagen and stays in Denmark for the first 3 stages, before traveling to the North of France. The first week will be mainly flat but very stressful, particularly with the return of the cobblestones on stage 5. On stage 7 we will have the first real test for the big favorites with the finish on La Planche des Belles Filles. Then it’s towards the Alps with the return of the famous climb of Alpe d’Huez and from there to the Pyrenees featuring the extremely hard climb of Hautacam. The last big test will be the 40km long individual time trial on the second last day before the peloton finally enters into Paris. In all, a very well balanced yet quite hard course which will be won undoubtedly by the strongest cyclist supporter by a very solid team.

TheMove: 2022 Tour de France Course Preview

Today the monument classics end with the “race of the falling leaves”, the Giro di Lombardia. We were privileged to watch a real cycling spectacle with a battle amongst almost all the big names in the international peloton. With 35kms to go, double Tour de France winner Tadej Pogaçar attacked, and none of the other strongmen had a response to this attack. Only the Italian Fausto Masnada was able to return to the wheel of the Slovenian rider on the descent of the last climb, but he was no rival for Pogaçar's in the final sprint. Pogaçar thus ends the 2021 season, winning 2 monuments and the Tour de France, something that had not happened since 1972 with Eddy Merckx. THEMOVE: 2021 Giro di Lombardía

Hoy se acaba la temporada de las grandes clásicas con “la carrera de las hojas muertas”, el Giro di Lombardia. Pudimos asistir a un espectáculo de ciclismo con una lucha entre casi todos los grandes nombres del pelotón internacional. A 35kms del final atacó el doble ganador del Tour de Francia Tadej Pogaçar, y ninguno de los otros hombres fuertes tuvo una respuesta a este ataque bastante lejano. Solamente el Italiano Fausto Masnada pudo regresar a la rueda del corredor esloveno en la bajada del último puerto, pero no era rival de Pogaçar en el esprint final. Pogaçar termina así la temporada 2021 ganando 2 monumentos y el Tour de Francia, algo que no pasó desde 1972 con Eddy Merckx.

Por primera vez en más de 2 años, tuvimos el placer de volver a ver esta clásica  épico, solo que esta vez en octubre en lugar de su fecha habitual en abril.  La lluvia pronosticada lo hizo aún más dramático, ya que todos los 55 km de adoquines estaban cubiertos de barro. Después de 258 km, tres corredores lucharon en un sprint en el icónico velódromo de Roubaix, y finalmente fue el campeón europeo e italiano Sonny Colbrelli quien superó al joven belga Florian Vermeersch y la superestrella holandesa Matthieu Vanderpoel. También tuvimos el privilegio de presenciar la primera edición de París-Roubaix para mujeres, y aquí fue la ciclista británica Lizzie Deignan quien se llevó la victoria después de una increíble escapada en solitario de más de 80 km.

For the first time in over 2 years, we had the pleasure to watch this epic classic again, only this time in October instead of April. The predicted rainfall made it even more dramatic, as all of the 55kms of cobblestones were covered in mud.  After 258kms, three riders battled it out in a sprint on the iconic velodrome of Roubaix, and it was European and Italian Champion Sonny Colbrelli who got the better of young Belgian Florian Vermeersch and Dutch superstar Matthieu Vanderpoel. We were also privileged to witness history in the making with the first ever Paris-Roubaix for women, and it was British rider Lizzie Deignan who took the win after an incredible solo ride of over 80kms.

In today’s podcast, we wrap up the Vuelta a España and talk about what happened in the last week. Three stage wins for the Dane Magnus Cort Nielsen, three stage wins and the green points jersey for Fabio Jakobsen, the controversial abandon in stage 20 of Miguel Ángel “Superman” Lopez and the potential future consequences. But above all we are in awe of the performance of the now three time winner of the Vuelta, Primož Roglič. Not only did he win four stages, but he won this grand tour with a dominance rarely seen in cycling in recent years.

Última etapa de esta Vuelta a España y un mejor final de carrera hubiera sido imposible, puesto que el gran dominador de las 3 semanas, Primož Roglič, también fue el más fuerte en la prueba de contrarreloj, y puso de esta manera el broche de oro a su actuación magnífica. Enric Más y Jack Haig acompañaron al ciclista esloveno en el podium final en la ciudad peregrina De Santiago de Compostela.

Penúltima etapa de esta Vuelta y que etapa más loca hemos podido ver. Superman Lopez perdió el podium y abandonó la carrera en circunstancias contradictorias. La etapa fue ganada por el joven francés Clement Champoussin del equipo AG2R-Citroen y Primož Roglič se mostró el más fuerte de los demás favoritos y está a un día de ganar su tercera Vuelta a España consecutiva.

La etapa de hoy fue un auténtico espectáculo y la escapada logró llegar al final con una tercera victoria para el danés Magnus Cort Nielsen. Primož Roglič defendió su liderato sin problemas.

Con el hablamos sobre la etapa de hoy, calificada como etapa “reina” de esta Vuelta a España, con llegada en la cima de la subida inédita Alto del Gamoniteiro y de la  batalla entre los mejores corredores de esta carrera. Por fin, el equipo Movistar logró esa victoria de etapa tan deseada por el conjunto español, de la mano de Superman Miguel Ángel Lopez. El líder Primož Roglič pudo sin problemas defender su primera posición en la clasificación general.
