What did the Cross accomplish? That is the question standing at the heart of our new book discussion. For many of us, growing up in western evangelical traditions, we would likely answer this question by turning to the first few chapters of Romans. But what if, instead, we turn to Acts? How did the earliest Christians describe the Cross? What about Jesus’ own words? Do they paint the same story we’re comfortable with – or are they perhaps pulling us toward a deeper, richer, and more Biblical story? That’s what we’re discussing.
