The day of firstfruits is the very day when Jesus rose from the dead. In the New Testament, Jesus is described as the “the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep.” In this message on Resurrection Sunday, Pastor Sebastiaan van Wessem connects the prophetic dots between the festival of the firstfruits and Jesus’ resurrection. Because he rose from the dead, there is a certain hope that we will rise from the dead!

After his triumphant entry into Jerusalem, Jesus went straight to the temple and wiped it clean from all the busyness that was not supposed to happen there.
