The world is telling us how to think and what we should believe. They are dictating to us what is right or wrong. They tell us to be politically correct. They say we can’t have opinions containing certain subjects or issues that would be contrary to their opinions on those subjects or issues. This is “herd mentality” – a global mindset - a global brainwashing if you please.The world is trying to impose or command us to believe their way. This isn’t anything new as it existed under a king in the days of Daniel the prophet. There are many voices speaking right now but not all are truthful. What voice will you accept to believe? Will you yield to the voice of a lie or yield to the voice of truth?1 Corinthians 14:10 There are, it may be, so many kinds of voices in the world, and none of them is without signification.Revelation 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.Will you be injected with the vaccine of compromise or will you stand for what you believe? I saw the following post online by someone and thought it appropriate for this hour. “If you are silent about your beliefs because you are worried someone will be offended, then your beliefs are not that important to you, but rather what people think about you is. When you stand up for what’s right and true, you will receive both hate and love, but everyone will know what you are fighting for.” The great preacher and martyr Dietrich Bonhoeffer who gave his life for speaking the truth said during Hitler’s reign of terror the following:“Silence in the face of evil is itself evil: God will not hold us guiltless. Not to speak is to speak. Not to act is to act.”Martin Luther King said,“Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.” “Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter.”Let us not be injected with the vaccine of compromise! Let us speak up and speak out what we know to be absolute truth that has been established in God’s word! Don’t allow your voice to be silenced! This sermon will reveal the bravery and courage of three teenagers who loved God more than anything else!

Judges 14:5 Samson went down to Timnah with his father and mother. When he got to the vineyards of Timnah, a young lion came at him, roaring. 6 The Spirit of GOD came on him powerfully and he ripped it open barehanded, like tearing a young goat. But he didn’t tell his parents what he had done. This was an ambush against Samson. An ambush is a trap or sudden and surprise attack the enemy uses to waylay us in our journey with Jesus. The enemy can strike unexpectedly and aggressively. A young lion roared against him – a young lion is a strong lion – Samson knew he was in for a good fight but he wasn’t going to let this young lion keep him from receiving his desire. As Christians we are in a battle as recorded 1Peter 5:8 “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:” John 10:10 “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” The Bible says in Matthew 10:16 “Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.” How do we survive and thrive in the midst of a seemingly destructive enemy that Jesus sends us in the midst of? This sermon cautions us to beware of three areas the enemy tries to take advantage of to ambush and get us off track with God. The Christian Life is One of Conflict

Distress is defined as trouble, danger, difficulty, misfortune, hardship, trial, upset, disturbance, affliction, torment, stress, and worry. 2 Kings 4:1 Now there cried a certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets unto Elisha, saying, Thy servant my husband is dead; and thou knowest that thy servant did fear the LORD: and the creditor is come to take unto him my two sons to be bondmen. The woman in this Old Testament account lost her husband and her two sons were in danger of being taken away to the creditors to fulfill a debt. Are you experiencing distress in your life feeling like you are between a rock and a hard place? We have all been there and we all look for relief in those moments. God desires that we cry out to Him even when we have lost all understanding of the trial and tribulation we are experiencing. He hears the cry of the human heart and promises to send help to comfort and heal our broken spirit. Psalm 4:1 When I call, give me answers. God, take my side! Once, in a tight place, you gave me room; Now I’m in trouble again: grace me! hear me! (Message)Psalm 18:6 In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried unto my God: he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, even into his ears.Psalm 118:5 I called upon the LORD in distress: the LORD answered me, and set me in a large place.Psalm 118:5 Pushed to the wall, I called to GOD; from the wide open spaces, he answered. (Message)Psalm 120:1 In my distress I cried unto the LORD, and he heard me. This sermon demonstrates the love of God and how He sends others into our life to hear our hearts cry and bring healing to our soul. God orders our steps and through providence and divine destiny dispatches heavenly help to lift the burdens and distress of life. Please don’t lose hope but call upon God in your moment of need and He will hear your cry.
