The little but feisty firecracker Miss Dominique Pianelli joins us and tells us all about how her interest in technology started. They get into a fun conversation about the days of "My Space". In todays world there is a big movement around women in tech as well as an all around big diversity in a former all white male industry. Through a lot of healing work she has realized that she is a fearfully and wonderfully made creation. She wants everyone to know that if every person could grasp that each of us are wonderfully made the world would be a much better place. Because when you know that you have value you would not do a lot of things that you would do if you don't. God helped Dora to make peace with her father before he passed away and she told him that she loved him. This is such a beautiful lesson of forgiveness and reconciliation. Dora believes that people show love in different ways and she is a fan of the book the 5 languages of love. She says that we tend to take things personally when we get hurt and that things are not always what they appear. Sasha was born into an immigrant family with an International flair that is second to none. Her Dad from Slovenia, her Mom from Mexico and subsequently after they divorced in her teens, her Step Mom from the Philippines and her Step Dad from Argentina. She spent all her summers overseas and that definitely gave her an edge, fearlessness and a very healthy ambition. She went to Texas A & M where she had a tumultuous 2 years where she struggled with substances and eating disorders. Sasha has been a perfectionist since she was 3 years old. She made perfect grades and put on a perfect façade of everything always being great and appeared polished when in reality it wasn't. You cannot be perfect forever - eventually that takes its toll. Her parents were very supportive and kind and just wanted their daughter to be ok, they gave her a perfect childhood and she never had anything bad happen to her.Her parents gave her a rehab treatment center as a graduation present, which she credits to saving her.Even though she struggled she still graduated with honors. Stacy, Sasha's best friend was at Texas State University and did not understand the gravity of the situation at the time. She wishes she was more mature at the time to be there more for Sasha during that time. Sasha talks about her eating disorders and how food is a big deal growing up European, how it is a comfort factor, showing of love, having restaurateur's for parents and that it is also one of the few things you can control. When Sasha is not in control of things she finds ways to feel like she is in control. It is also super easy to relapse and nobody notice. She learned a lot. She was only 20 years old and didn't have a lot on the line yet. Sasha believes in rehab for people that need it and she encourages people not to be resistant to therapy. She believes that it is important to come to the reality that everyone has issues. Sasha says that ongoing therapy keeps her centered and goal oriented and how to prioritize time.After rehab Sasha was in clinical research for a while and then became a medical aesthetician. She says that part of such a tremendous loss is holding the people that you do have very, very close. She says it humbles you and shows you that you are not invincible and you learn from your pain. It is incredibly eye opening. She says that she still gets sad about the loss of her Mom and says that hey really didn't know how to deal with it when it happened. Their Dad raised them to the best of his ability but didn't know how to talk about it. Stacey then shares the devastating story about her ex fiancée, who was struggling with their break up, ending up committing suicide. They were together for about 7 years, lived together and he had 2 children. He just couldn't find his inner happiness and Stacy still struggles with the blame game of what more she could have done. She says that this is kind of the beginning of a campaign to give yourself the strength to take the love from the people around you- know that you are a good person and know that if something bad happens you can't blame yourself.She still struggles with that. Stacey believes in turning everything tragic into something positive. Stacey and Sasha named their brand "Frankie Ray" after their Dad's and that is for a reason. It is their outlet and they are channeling it into something positive. They have both been through a lot and they have a lot of energy and emotion and they are putting that together into a "POSITIVE RAY OF SUNSHINE". Carrie grew up in Mesquite, Dallas with a severely autistic brother who is non verbal, which was very hard on the family. Her parents divorced when she was 15 years old. Carrie started modeling at age 15, entered a local modeling competition and won it. She signed with Elite Agency in New York, NOW Agency and Kim Dawson agency. She got to Los Angeles at age 18 and with a very conservative Mom who she didn't get along with in her teen years, she immediately felt at home in LA because she didn't feel judged. Her dream was always to become anactress, but after she started auditioning she realized she was a terrible actress and concentrated solely on modeling. After moving out she did always love going back to the mansion for weekends or holidays because Hef always wanted to make sure the girls had a place to come to. She tells us that it was so sad when Hef's Alzheimer's progressed and he couldn't remember her or some of the other girls. She told us that Crystal, his last wife stopped the dinner and movie night weekends. Carrie was 23 years old when she left the mansion and moved into an apartment in Hollywood. She started modeling again and we find out how she met her husband. After their very first date they hit it off and got married 6 weeks later in Las Vegas. When she married him he had 1 Pilates studio in West Hollywood - today he has over 600 locations worldwide maybe more. They were married for about 6 years, and even though she doesn't have many nice things to say about her ex husband, she does give him credit for being her mentor and teaching her work ethic and taught her a lot. She tells us that the divorce was very hard on her, even though her marriage was very toxic, but passionate at the same time. It was very unstable. She felt like she no longer had her own identity and felt very lost. Even though recently divorced they were still going to couples counseling trying to work on their relationship when she found out that he had married a porn star in Las Vegas. He ended up giving her the flagship location of the Pilates studio, but she found out later that it was losing money. She felt lost and depressed with no motivation.One day she got it together and the studio became her safe place and saved her life. Today it is Carries Pilates Plus and a thriving studio with many celebrities and a very impressive client base. She praises her incredible team, especially her right hand Alyssa and her family. During Covid 19 they have rented a parking lot and created an outside workout experience second to none. They created a successful virtual program so Carrie's clients can work out from home during these trying times. She has even created her own Pilates machine called "THE MINTER METHOD" and that is available for purchase for your home or if you want to open your own studio. She also holds recurring teacher trainings. Her brand is unique, one of a kind, exquisite with high powered music and lots of energy. Her Merch line is classy, beautiful and one of a kind. Carrie is a big believer and supporter of the women empowerment movement. We talk about how Carrie and Marcella met and how they have become best friends and are like twins. Marcella has recently gotten certified with the Carries Pilates Plus method and teaches on the virtual program. Carrie has an unsurmountable love for dogs and has 5 dogs right now. Carrie just recently got engaged to her fiancé Toni who surprised her with an incredible 10.5 carat engagement ring, and they are planning a wedding in 2021 in Dallas. We talk about the new pop up workout that Carrie and Marcella are going to bring to Dallas in 2021, to expand Carrie's brand to the DFW area. They are very excited about that.
