A lot of people toss around the phrase “I love this game” when it comes to basketball, but not many fully commit to it. Those that commit realize that their love for the game is bigger than anything in their life. Growth is the greatest separator in life but we must be able to adjust to change as we do that. - Making adjustments as a head coach is a must with changing generations as well as the game constantly evolving. - Our guest this week, Mike Dean, has been able to do just that over 43 years as a NCAA coach. - He took three (3) different schools to the NCAA Tournament over his career but as he states in the show, he is most proud of the young men he has helped shape over the years. - Dean also talks about his definition of a perfect game and breaks down the phrase “we are going to do what we do….not worry about the other team”. - Adjusting and evolving was a big key to Mike Dean’s success as a basketball coach. - Tune in and listen to him and the boys talk about it in detail.

You have to commit to work on yourself - be better than you are now. - This is a lesson. Our guest this week, Steve Sir (@Steve_sir_ ), learned this at a young age and it has stuck with him since. - Being surrounded by great mentors, educators and coaches is always a bonus but it really does you no good if you don’t put in the work consistently. - This type of attitude is what propelled Steve to be one of the century’s best shooters in the NCAA - way ahead of guys like Steph Curry (@stephencurry30) and JJ Reddick. - After his NCAA career he was able to play professionally for several years and now is regarded the best three (3) point shooter in the @fiba3x3 World Tour as he represents Canada on this stage. - Tune in and listen to how this 36 year old is staying relevant and continues to get better every single day he steps foot out of bed.
