In this episode of “Where Do You Exist?”, we explore adoption and identity through the personal tales three storytellers in front of a live audience in New York City. Founder of Native Son and former magazine executive Emil Wilbekin shares his experience finding out he was an adopted child. Notable New York-based comedian Eudora Peterson recounts a letter she wrote as an 11-year-old struggling to feel comfortable in her own body. Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist and radio producer Lisa Pollak opens up about her journey to adopt a child with her husband.

In this episode of "Where Do You Exist?", three storytellers share their personal tales with a live audience in Los Angeles. Comedy writer and director Priyanka Mattoo narrates her story of finding the love of her life;Andrew Ti, writer and the creator of "Yo, Is This Racist?", describes his experience trying to be cool as a teenager; and Mary Beth LaRue, yoga teacher and founder of Rock Your Bliss, shares her journey of adopting a baby.

Actress and filmmaker Samantha Futerman takes us through her experience meeting her identical twin sister; Actress and producer Julissa Calderon describes her journey of embracing her Afro-Latina identity; and Critic Ira Madison III shares his coming out story.

Director and Founder of Storytellers for Change, Luis Ortega, describes his experience as an undocumented immigrant applying for college; Comic Solomon Georgio tells us why he ran away to Hollywood at the age of 17; and writer Lucia Martinez Valdivia sheds light on how her views of interracial relationships have changed.

Welcome to “Where Do You Exist?”, a six-part podcast miniseries in collaboration with HBO and their new television series, Here and Now. “Where Do You Exist?” was recorded in front of live audiences in Portland, Los Angeles and New York City, where a diverse collection of thought leaders from different walks of life shared their most intimate stories and experiences of belonging, family, and identity. Here And Now, from Oscar and Emmy winner Alan Ball, stars Tim Robbins and Holly Hunter. The new HBO series is a provocative and darkly comic meditation on the disparate forces polarizing present-day American culture, as experienced by the members of a progressive multi-ethnic family — a philosophy professor and his wife, their adopted children from Vietnam, Liberia and Colombia and their sole biological child — AND a contemporary Muslim family, headed by a psychiatrist who is treating one of their children.
