Adrian Burns: What Am I Bid?

This week on Whiskey Business, Dino and the boys had the pleasure of talking to McCauley Williams, President and CEO of B.R. Distillers in Memphis, TN. McCauley saw an opportunity to take the reins of one of the oldest distilleries in Memphis and started to making two notable whiskies: Blue Note Juke Joint Straight Bourbon Whiskey and Riverset Rye. Both brands have a combination of expressions that include small batches and single barrels. Now you have one more reason to go to Memphis(aside from the food, and music history) because the whiskey they’re making is singing a fine tune as well. Dino and the boys had the pleasure of welcoming Pat Byrne of Byrne’s Pub to Whiskey Business to discuss a much anticipated St. Patrick’s Day a year after bars and restaurants were shut down, AND...his own Irish Whiskey BUA. BUA made its debut last February in 2020, but when the world shutdown so did the opportunity to share this fine whiskey in bars and restaurants. A year later BUA is making a name for itself and deservedly so. This smooth drinking, triple distilled, non chilled filtered whiskey can stand tall amongst all the other Irish Whiskey favorites out there. BUA is Gaelic for “win” or “victory”. Yup.
