We start off our discussion with finding out that Breeze began rapping at 13 years old, but didn't actually start releasing music until he was 18 yrs old going into his first year of college. Breeze would attend SIUC (along with Tunde and Vic) and he tells us about how he became apart of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity. He elaborates the importance of getting apart of prestigious organization and transitioning from the streets the being more professional and organized. We then talk about going how him and his production group which is called "The Shipmates", moved out to Atlanta and producing beats for other artists. He discussed how producers and musicians make money and how it can be a misunderstanding due to technicalities. Hassani then details her rise in comedy and her aspirations to work in Hollywood. We begin our discussion strolling down memory lane. Tunde and Kat reminisce on their high school years at Homewood-Flossmoor in Chicago, IL and tell us about some of the wildest things they've witnessed during that time. Kat gives us a little background on how she developed the passion for tattooing during her senior year in high school. She talks a little about people not taking her seriously initially but she was driven to make a name for herself through the art. During her freshman year at the University of Missouri, she became known as Kat Tat Girl around campus. She mentions how before she found her passion, she was always "little sis" or "Jared's girlfriend," and through her creativity she forged her own identity. Having been in Los Angeles for two years, she still goes back to Chicago to visit family and talks about the transition from leaving Black Ink Crew and the opportunities that have presented themselves to her afterward. Her shop took 3 months to build from a burned down building to a brand new tattoo shop on Pico. Now a full fledged business owner, Kat explains the steps to opening your own store, being an entrepreneur, & believing in the vision you have for your business.
