I was on a coaching call last week and my client who has had 2 losses said, “I didn’t even think I could define that experience as trauma.” She’s someone who thought that letting that word in, would keep that feeling of trauma there forever. When the exact opposite ended up coming true. She felt heard. Seen. And tears streamed from her face as we validated this traumatic experience for her. Trauma -- and trauma from the fertility journey… loss of a pregnancy, loss of time, loss of what we thought our lives would look like… is an experience that we can heal from. We can move through it. Today’s coaching topic is Pregnancy After Loss. This is such a tender topic and a tender life experience. I went through it and for me, it wasn’t easy. Pregnancy after loss can be anxiety inducing, which then leads you to have anxiety over having anxiety. It’s this loop of trying to control how you feel — which only makes things feel worse. On this coaching call, I very gently coached my amazing newly pregnant client after she experienced a loss last year. Our coaching conversation is slow in order to be very present for her experience. I coach her on deciding what she truly wants to believe during her pregnancy instead of what she’s “supposed to” or “should” believe. Episode 61 - It’s time to take your power back.

“I’m trying to stay positive. But it’s so hard.” I hear this all the time. From women TTC who believe that positivity is their way to happiness and pregnancy. Conceptually this makes sense. And as a Sagittarius, I am naturally a very optimistic person and I love this about myself. So, I totally get this desire to be more positive and to FEEL more positive. BUT… there comes a point when the monkey mind annoying persists with you that anything other than positive is wrong, bad and messing up your fertility. This is a lot of pressure and I felt this way for years. It only led to a ton of self-blame when any other emotion -- besides happiness and excitement -- entered my human experience… which was A LOT of the time. You know what I would do in response to any anger, sadness or grief that I felt? I wouldn’t feel it. I’d suppress it. I’d shove it deep down and fake/pretend that “everything was fine!” This is what I would call… Toxic positivity. So on today’s brand new podcast, we’re gonna chat about: What is toxic positivity? Episode 59 - My Mother’s Day message to the mama-in-waiting

9 years ago, I know I needed help. I had been trying to get pregnant for almost a year and was totally and completely obsessed with TTC. I vividly remember sitting at my desk at my old accounting job and googling “how to stop worrying” while simultaneously also googling, “first pregnancy symptoms”. It consumed my everything. I knew something needed to change because life wasn’t fun anymore and my worries about the future of my family were at an all-time high. So I found a Life Coach of my own. And literally, the rest is history. Asking for mental and emotionally support along the journey to my baby was the best decision I EVER made and was my catalyst to revealing the very best version of who I could be in this lifetime. The problem is that many people DON’T learn the mindset tools. They don’t ask for help. They just suffer. OR… They wait for things to get SUPER BAD before asking for help. Episode 58 - Destigmatizing emotional support while TTC

Being categorized as a controlling person is not a title that one strives for. And when you’re TTC, you might think it’s the reason why you’re struggling so much. Many of my clients describe themselves as planners and perfectionists who thrive off of being very productive, getting shit done and doing things the “right” way. And honestly, these qualities can be beneficial in life and can help you to create what you want. But what happens, when things don’t come as easily – like making this baby - no matter how hard you try, how hard you try to “perfect” things and how hard you try to control the situation? I’ll speak for myself and the hundreds of clients that I’ve worked with…  it’s incredibly frustrating.  Initially, you might even try to control more. More diet restrictions. More sacrifice. There is one crazy sneaky limiting belief that plays a HUGE role in the TTC journey. I discovered that I was letting this thought run my journey for years. It was making every little thing feel forced, my body felt tight and it made my mind race with thoughts. I let the belief go, just a few months before getting pregnant. And as I saw how disbelieving this thought changed the entire course of my journey. I knew I had to document it and share how and why it was working. Which is why I created my group coaching program.
