I think that we can all agree, especially if you’re someone who is trying to do your best of tuning in and honoring your truth, the still small voice guiding your life, that there inevitably comes a time when your soul comes knocking on your hearts door and whispering to you that this is the way. Steven Matthew Adams is the author of On The Way, which is a practical guide to manifesting sustainable happiness in your life and also a well respected coach and workshop facilitator. But, most importantly, he’s just a damn good guy with a-lot of good things to say. I loved our conversation for so many reasons, 1. Because it was basically a therapy session for me, haha, but also 2. Because Steven has a way of communicating and putting to words what so many of us feel, myself included, but don’t necessarily have the language for what we’re feeling. On this episode, we talk about what it looks like to remove the pressure from trying to “do” something with your life to aligning yourself as a conduit so that the universe can work through you, and then we dive into a conversation around what it looks like to live life from your heart and your head. Lastly, we end this conversation in a way, that honestly, left me in tears. I'll be honest, I've never thought of myself as someone who deals with depression.I don't know if it's because I have the propensity to spiritualize everything in my life, or if it's just been flat out denial. But, if I'm being honest, depression is something that I deal with not just here and there, but most of my life. I think for so long, I've been able to will my way out of depression through performance and achievement and any sort of forward mobility.
