On that day, New Year’s Eve 2018, my father died by a self- inflicted gun shot wound to his heart. I woke up to a nightmare and the absolute unimaginable happened. I understand how your world can be flipped upside down in the blink of an eye, when a life occurrence happens and there is nothing you can do to control it. Episode 6- Survivor of a Loved one to Suicide & PTSD

I am a survivor of a loved one to Suicide and Rape. This week is the first time I told anyone I was raped by my best friend, partner in crime, the one who has been her for me since the day by dad died by a self inflicted gunshot wound. And I finally realized the person I loved and thought was sorry for what he did was selfish, and cruel and it broke me and I got to a point where I lost all hope and I have never ever thought that way before. I had never thought about taking my own life but when the one person who had been by my side through this journey acted liked it was no big deal he raped me and that the NFL team he cared so dearly about lost the game Sunday and his human suffering was more important than my ptsd and trauma I lost all hope in humanity.
