In this unique episode, my friend Travis Nesta interprets a recent dream of mine. Travin helps people analyze their dreams and life experiences so that they can align to their highest potential and find freedom in their daily lives. He has always had an intense passion for psychology and analyzing the dynamics within and between people, but he never thought he would use this passion in his work in the world. For the majority of his life he did not remember his dreams because of excessive caffeine use, but decided to embark on a shamanic plant dieta — which requires the removal of caffeine among other things. During a plant dieta, dreams are known to become very powerful and vivid. Through this experience he finally began to remember his dreams for what felt like the first time, which allowed him to reconnect with a lost aspect of himself - dreams are an intimate & vital part of each human’s experience. It was one of the most important times in his entire life — finally feeling connected to himself in a way that he didn’t even think was possible. He did not even realize that he had been so disconnected from himself for so long simply because he was not remembering his dreams. I’m so happy to be back recording again! And today, our guest is the man I was talking about in that episode! Luckily you can’t see me, because I’m probably a little bit red sitting here with the amazing man, Joe Hawley! We’ve known each other for over a year through the Aubrey Marcus Fit For Service Fellowship (https://www.aubreymarcus.com/pages/fit-for-service-fellowship), but we never really connected until a plant medicine retreat in Minnesota. We both ended up in Austin when self-quarantining measures started taking place and decided to isolate together. I’m feeling blessed to have this time with Joe and his dog, Freedom, but let’s get into Joe’s story: He grew up in Orange County, California, went to school at UNLV in Las Vegas, played football and got drafted in 2010 by the Atlanta Falcons. He’s lived out his childhood dream, spending 8 years in the NFL, but started to find his heart pulling him in a different direction. The onion of self-work and the role of plant medicine with Joe Hawley

Ready to dive into truth? There's incredible personal freedom in truth, yet we spend much of our lives showing up the way we think we 'should'. The ways that will make our parents happy, our colleagues respect us, society at large accept us, and of course, the ways that will make us look good on Instagram and social media. In My Truth is the antidote to the ‘shoulds’. Be a fly on the wall as my guests and I dive into the stories and untruths are living with and working through in real time. My name is Sarah Riegelhuth, and as I recently updated my Insta bio to read, I’m not one thing, but many. Professionally, I run Grow My Team and am one of the co-founders of The League of Extraordinary Women. But personally, I’m a lot more than that. Last year I moved through a breakdown. I also moved through a breakup, changed my entire career professionally, sold my company... a LOT of change. During this period, I had a strong calling to share what was really going on for me publicly on my blog and social media. I don't know why, but I really felt it was important to open up these conversations and share with people what was really happening behind the scenes in my life. This resulted in a lot of people reaching out to have deep conversations, and I started imagining what it could look like if other people could listen in on these conversations, and the healing that would come from that. I knew I was healing, I knew the people I was having conversations with were healing, and I really felt that if other people could listen to these conversations, to what was happening in real time as we worked through things, that healing would come to many. And so on a drive from Vancouver to Colorado, a pilgrimage, where I was moving back to a state that has called my heart ever since I set foot there, this podcast In My Truth was born.
