The wilderness is a season every human being will face at some point within their lives. It can be uncomfortable, it can be frustrating, it can be tiring, yet if we just focus on the hardship within our season in the wilderness. We can miss the opportunity of maturing and growing closer to God, which allows us to learn from our sins, by repenting and living faithful and standing firm in the faith. However, if we don’t learn from the lessons the wilderness teaches us, we are only left to repeat the cycles of sin over and over again living in bondage. So in part one of the series entitled, “The Wilderness,” I’ll discuss complaining and how practicing those habits can develop patterns within us, that are ungodly.  Which can cause us to lose sight of Gods faithfulness and promises he’s given us. Unspeakable Joy

When it comes to patience many of us have various notions as to what that means within our lives, especially when we are all going through different seasons.  Regardless, of what we are having to be patient about, we must understand that the Lord is doing things behind the scenes on our behalf that are for our good and not for our harm. Which means, in order for us to remain patient in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, it is going to require faith in him to know that God, is going to do what he said he’s going to do. It is going to require self-control from within us, to believe and not doubt, and to grow in Jesus Christ, throughout the process of waiting understanding that our patience will allow us to not lack anything. Patience

Living spiritually lukewarm, allows us to fool ourselves in to thinking we will inherit God’s Kingdom.  Although, the bible depicts that living this way is very dangerous and ungodly, because God, cannot be mocked.  A man reaps what he sows and those that live this way will not inherit his Kingdom. However, only those that repent and trust in the Lord will be known as citizens of Heaven. For 1 Corinthians 6:11 says, “And that is what some of you were. Don't Be Fooled

When we admit our burdens and give them to God.  We’re basically, humbling ourselves before him knowing that God, alone is able to help us. In doing so we pick up the ultimate blessing which is Jesus Christ, and we begin to dwell on his promises and not our burdens. Burden

Disaster has a way of exposing us to see if we just talk a good faith talk regarding a relationship with God. Or do we talk and live it out truthfully. Let me put it this way, the scripture in Isaiah 29:13 says, “The Lord says, “These people worship me with their mouths and honor me with their lips. But their hearts are far from me, and their worship of me is based on rules made by humans.” So the next time disaster strikes are you prepared? Will disaster expose you living deceitfully or truthfully? When Disaster Strikes

When we as believers in Jesus Christ, set boundaries in our lives.  It reminds us that we are not to love the ways of this dark world, but that we are to love and adore our Heavenly Father.  So, when our boundaries are honoring God, it will allow us to see who we really are versus what we say we are.  In other words are your boundaries causing you to be fruitful or fruitless. Boundaries

When we take heed to God’s word for our lives, we are walking in step with the Holy Spirit and will see the fruit that is produced in us become more fruitful in Christ. However, when we decide to do things our own way against what God, has commanded us to do. We open the door to the enemy, not realizing that we’ve deceived ourselves. Which is why we must take heed to the Lord’s instructions, because he alone will keep us and sustain us in his love. Take Heed

We can’t ignore the signs that are occurring in the earth, from the wild fires, floods and other natural disasters. God is trying to get our attentions to wake us up and turn our hearts back to him. Although, no one knows the day nor the hour in which our Lord and Savior will return. We must continue on the straight and narrow path which leads to Jesus Christ, who is the way, the truth and the life. Bitterness has a way of making us feel as though life will never get better. However, when Naomi, in the bible experienced her bitterness by wanting to be called Mara, which means bitter.  Naomi, was able to overcome her bitterness and become better, because she was connected and reminded of her redeemer being God and how faithful he is to his people. Desire

Treasures In Heaven

To get into the presence of God, we must have the faith to believe that he exists.  We must understand that Jesus, is the only way to our heavenly father. We must have an expectancy and a boldness knowing that God, will reward us by prospering us in him, even when times seem to be uncertain. We must also, keep in step with the spirit knowing that we are a new creature in Christ; the old ways of living are no more and the new has come.  In doing so, this will cause us to adhere to the words of our Lord and Savior, living a life that pleases him.
